[ROM] - 2/5 - CleanROM 2.3 -=ICS Edition=- Clean and Smooth!

Thanks for the link and the FYI. The FYI always confuses me, Scott had stated over at XDA that his ICS rom was certified to go with this so it seemed like the topic to ask. Always afraid to start a new topic then be told it already exists somewhere else. :-\

Scott doesn't like android central anymore lol

He doesn't come around and edit the posts here to reflect his newest work.

Eh, he'll get here when he gets here...He's updating several projects and starting new ones and working an actual job to boot. I'd say the man has plenty on his plate.

just flashed to CleanROM ICSE 3.1 yesterday afternoon and now when I try to add an app to my 'desktop' I get the error "Unfortunately, Personalize has stopped."

I can add widgets though without a problem. When it first happened I figured I had flashed wrong or missed a step (I did it on my drive home :)) so I redid it again last night. After redoing it it did work last night so I got most of my icons on the desktop as I wanted them. Then I put the phone up for th night. Now, this morning, I am back to that same error.

No ideas of what to do. I've tried to reboot a couple times, to no avail.

Anyone else seeing this? On the fisrt flash, it happened before I even downloaded any of my apps, I was just trying to get the gmail icon on my desktop.

thanks!

I hate to say it but I would suggest posting on Scott's site or on XDA. Official postings are few and far between here(if you couldn't tell from it still saying 2.3 on the thread)

done, not sure why I didn't think of that. Reading over at Scott's forum would indicate I am not an isolated incident. Well, my phone issue isn't, I, on the other hand . . .

Running 3.7. Just a bump to the thread and Scott's lovely work. Don't know how he is so quick to update and continuously improve an already outstanding product.

3.7! Wow! How's it running for you and does it stream audio over bluetooth?

Pretty well. Battery is hit or miss. I've heard a lot of apps aren't primed for ICS. It is based on that earlier leak. Bluetooth is working and speaker phone volume isn't comprised because of it.

This is what's keeping me away from flashing ICS ROMs. Some of the guys on XDA were posting screenshots of 22% battery life with only 2 hours on the battery. Screw that noise.
I'll jump into it as soon as the kernel issues are fully resolved. I understand it's a small fraction of users that run into these problems, but my luck is horrid enough to land me in that small fraction.

They are...the ROMs based on the last leak are really stable. Basically the problem before was that the ICS kernel didn't have proper battery support...well that's gone and everyone's pretty happy with the current ROMs. The only thing that's missing from ICS is the data arrows(the arrows that indicate data up/down) and that's very minor.
