do I need to put both the ROM and Kernel in the root of my SD card?
Then would I need to go through all the ADB codes as if followed to get in to the bootloaders just before i rooted or can is there another way in to there?
Open rom manager and hit Reboot into Recovery.
I've had bad luck using rom manager to install roms going back to the OG Droid days so I just choose the Reboot into Recovery option which takes you to CWM. Then choose Install zip from sd card and find the rom file. It seems that you don't have to wipe anything at the moment but usually people will suggest to Wipe Cache and go into Advanced and choose Wipe Dalvik Cache. With this method you still have your data and don't need to reload everything.
The power off into cwm while plugged in is a known issue. Some have mentioned that turning on Fast boot in Power under Settings helps but others have reported that even that doesn't work.
I found out that I was installing 1.1, so I wiped the phone and installed 1.2 via CWM. The installation said it was successful, and I clicked Reboot Phone now...
Now the phone will not turn on all the way. It does the Thunderbolt animation and stops there.
I'm thinking the .zip may not have transferred correctly or something.
How do I access the SD Card from my computer now that I cannot turn on my phone and put it into disk drive mode?
EDIT: I am now starting to freak out lol. Anyone?
