[ROM][5.07.2011][ED01]Community Rom V1.3

Just installed the new ROM and changed to Voodoo from non. Everything went smoothly. For some reason the female android talking during the initial reboot process cracked me up.

Thanks, everyone!

same here. when i flashed the rom on my phone the voice wasnt there but i flashed the new rom to my wife's phone i was like "what the hell"

its been moved sharky this rom is sick wit it im gonna theme black alien and add the boot anime BLUE HAVOK cause it looks crazy cool and alot like the apparition of a spirit threw a medium ive seen some crazy pics

Nice. Thanks again for the info on your voltage settings. The more info we all have on that, the better off we will be. I have not tried any of that yet.

One thing i noticed ... i've been using the Epic unlock from 2.9.2 and love the slide down when i receive text messages or have a missed call. On this rom the Epic lock is different, any way to get it working again?

Looks like even the puzzle lock doesnt show the txt messages also like before

Yeah i miss that feature also.

hm so tried flashing this after a data wipe/ cache and dev wipe, and also flashed imnuts voodoo kernel and now it seems to be sitting at the android boot screen and keeps looping on the boot screen with a vibration like its force closing.

Ok. First off, this thread is insane, as usual, for a new major ROM release.

There seems to be some confusion on how to get the stock Android keyboard back. There are 2 files required for it, which you can extract from any deodexed ROM's zip such as SC:

/system/app/LatinIME.apk
/system/lib/libjni_latinime.so

Next, you need to remove ime-mtm-stock-gingerbread.apk from /system/app on your phone, as it also uses the libjni_latinime.so file.

Then, copy or adb push the 2 files you pulled from your deodexed ROM's zip to there proper folders and reboot. Before you try to use it after you boot up, go to Settings > Language & Keyboard and configure it as wished.

Finally, go to any text input field (text message) and long press to choose the input method and select Android keyboard.

Enjoy.

Hey LandShark, success!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bing is gone and I love the COMM ROM, thanks for your help.

The only issue is that Titanium said; sorry, I could not acquire root privileges. What should I do? The COMM ROM is rooted, right?

Did you flash the ROM and the kernel in the same CWM session? If so, that is why. Flash the ROM by itself, reboot and let the ROM fully load, then boot back to CWM, flash kernel, reboot.

Yes, community ROM is rooted. You should be able to access TiBu. How did you get rid of bing?

To get rid of Bing, I backed up my contacts and data, then I did a factory reset in CMW, the I wiped cache and Davlik. I installed the COMM ROM and flashed EC01 moden with Odin.

My only problem is Titanium doesn't want to work. It said that I'm not rooted. What should I do? I need to re-install my apps... LOL

BTW, I'm running Voodoo, and loving it, LOL

Don't worry, I fixed it. It was the busybox...now I'm back to business, LOL

Thanks for your support!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh BTW the ROM AWESOME! this is my first voodoo kernal and i like it
no problems so far
great job to all who partook in this project!

man that woulda taken me forever sharkie thanks man

You're welcome. That was one of the issues that came up during testing. To switch to a different kernel you had to let the ROM fully load, the boot to CWM, flash the new kernel without wiping, then reboot.
