huh for some reason i have 3.0.whatever installed now :S
haha.... yes... it's open game for calling me names when I make a dumb mistake like that! lol
I think I am going to flash Comavolt and give it a try... I have always been happy with it. Want to learn more about Voltage Control before I start playing around with the OTB Kernel.
I am assuming you are using the ED01 radio that came with the ROM? Or did you flash back to EC01?
What color is the text? Red, orange, green, or blue?
Thanks Killah. Question though: how do I extract these files? I found the SO file on the droid forums, assuming they're all the same? But if not, I couldn't find how to pull files out of a ROM. Everything else I'm OK withOk. First off, this thread is insane, as usual, for a new major ROM release.
There seems to be some confusion on how to get the stock Android keyboard back. There are 2 files required for it, which you can extract from any deodexed ROM's zip such as SC:
/system/app/LatinIME.apk
/system/lib/libjni_latinime.so
Next, you need to remove ime-mtm-stock-gingerbread.apk from /system/app on your phone, as it also uses the libjni_latinime.so file.
Then, copy or adb push the 2 files you pulled from your deodexed ROM's zip to there proper folders and reboot. Before you try to use it after you boot up, go to Settings > Language & Keyboard and configure it as wished.
Finally, go to any text input field (text message) and long press to choose the input method and select Android keyboard.
Enjoy.
A few questions before i start:
If I do a data wipe (which i know i should) will that wipe anything on my sd card? Or just the system drive?
Second question...I'm coming from the new froyo (ED01?) Once i use CWM to flash the com rom do i need to do anything with the radio?
Then i use CWM to flash the patch right?
and my cwm is blue, and says 3e, does that seem right? I keep seeing ppl say red.
(and i don't actually see an advanced in the menu to wipe DALVIK cache or backup/restore)
Are you sure you installed CwM correctly? Blue is the color of stock recovery if my memory serves me right.
You can flash JT1134's .Tar file here via ODIN and you should be good to go. Remember ALWAYS USE THE PDA BUTTON...
...Just one question, the screen capture doesn't work or isn't available and/or I don't know where to enable it. Any suggestions?
This ever get answered?
That's 2.x Voodoo.
