I thought that first bit, "only data on your internal drive will be affected" said it, but I can add more clarification if you think it's necessary.

It's just my personal opinion that when doing a FAQ you simplify things the best you can and try to hit every area. Just to clear up any confusion the best you can. Some people may be under the assumption that internal drive could mean the sdcard as it is technically inside the phone. I know this seems silly, but it NEVER hurts to be as descriptive as possible But either way I think you did a pretty good job putting that together and it's much appreciated!

To install follow directions on the first page, the first post of this thread. As for reverting back to stock (I assume you mean) there are other threads located in these forums to help you with that. I suggest reading through the threads to get better acquanted with the process before diving right in. It's always better to be prepared

It will most likely cause issues if you do it that way, it is highly reccommended to flash them separately. Flash one, boot up then reboot to recovery flash the next and so on. That is the safest method. Especially when flashing the comm. rom then the 1.2 patch, you must let the comm rom 1.0 boot up fully first! Take note that the first boot will take a good ~5 minutes or so. Do not forget to clear cache partitions and wipe dalvik cache (wipe data/factory reset is reccommended as well)

Fix for brightness

It also bumps the brightness all the way up every time the phone is in use. I know this isn't an issue with my face rubbing the status bar, as when I have it in my car cradle it does the same thing without me touching it at all...

Any ideas?

I am using Brighteriffic to remedy this. You set the high and low default brightness for the screen and then create a shortcut on one of your home screens. When you press it, it acts like a widget. It will take you up to your high default or down to your low default. Since it is an app shortcut and not a true widget, you ccan assign any icon picture to it that you want.

Need some advice, after installing the patch 1.2 i'm getting some random freeze up. I dont think its my phone because i did the same thing on my wife's and she is experiencing the same thing.

did the eclair to ea28 to ed01 to com rom then patch 1.1 then 1.2 did the davlick and cache wipe and the battery stat.

also strange cause my notification was getting delayed specially my voicemail, got a notification after 2 days. strange dont know if it's verizon or my phone.

planning to try out eclair - EA28 - ED01 from OTA see if there's a difference

The method you took, did you wipe data/factory reset before flashing the community rom? And before applying each patch did you wipe cache partitions and dalvik cache? I know you said you wiped them, but did you do it every time? As for the notification issue I am unsure, I personally haven't had that issue. Also did you boot up right after applying just the community rom (1.0) This must be done before applying the patch, and as for the patch you can bypass 1.1 as 1.2 has everything within the 1.1 patch already.

did not do a factory reset since flashing DL09 through Odin i think wipe the data to stock, was running 2.9.2 before that. I did wipe cache and dalvik before com rom and before 1.1 and before 1.2. The phone works great and battery seems to last for the whole day with minor browsing, facebooking and texting, the freeze up doesnt happen all the time only happens when you need the phone the most lol.

Alright, yeah personally I think it's always best to wipe data/factory reset within recovery and wiping cache partition and dalvik cache before flashing any ROM. But like I said that's just my personal opinion as I have a firm belief that starting as fresh as possible limits problems greatly. That's really the only suggestion I have to clear up the freezing issue you're encountering. A quick question tho, you flashed back to DL09, did you OTA to ED01 then flash the community rom? If so then I stress wiping data/factory reseting even more as I tried it without doing so the first time and had horrific outcomes. Went through the steps again and wiped data/factory reset and it worked pretty much flawless

OK i tried to read up to this last page and after a couple hours found i could "not" catch up, question is i see talk of a V1.1 and then talk of a 1.2
have i missed something from my loadup and running of community Rom?

These are patches. They are detailed in the first post. If you haven't done either of them, you can just flash v1.2, since it contains all the stuff from v1.1.

Is any one else having problems syncing all their corporate contacts on this from? I only get about 3/4 of my contacts to sync with the phone. If I switch to other roms I have no issues.
