I am now running the ComRom! So far, so good. I am not a huge fan of the Gingerbread based theme though lol.

I was scared when I stumbled into the Voltage Settings app...because I'm totally clueless as to what's a good setup and what's not. I guess I'll just leave it be until I read up on all of that.

Does anyone else use Better Keyboards? My girlfriend has used it back on SC and it worked fine... now that she is on ComROM it doesnt work it FCs as soon as you select it. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if they got around it?

Have you tried removing and re-adding it? Wipe cache partitions and dalvik cache before hand then again I am guessing this is one you do within root explorer? By the way you live pretty close to where I do, you're the closest person I've met on here so far lol. I live in Mt. Carroll, IL.

I've noticed when I'm texting and I use Swype, after I hit the back button and the Swype keyboard goes away there's a slight burn in the screen from the keyboard. Stays for about 5 seconds then goes away. No big deal, but kind of annoying.

Back to the topic at hand... I did just as you said and I fixed the issue with better keyboards on my phone as well! Which I am running EvilFascinate and I thought maybe it was just an issue with the rom. So I am going to assume it will work on the girlfriends phone running the ComROM.

someone running the stock email on comm rom pls see if you have this issue. Im trying to "fetch" a pdf file i had emailed to me as an attachment and it just keeps saying "fetching" than after like the fifth time doing it and waiting like 5 mins for a small file it shows up in adobe. but i cant find where its saved, and it doesn't give me a save file or anything like it used to. anyone have this happen and no a solution? Thanks

I had no problems.."save all" was an option after I clicked the "attachments" button...

It downloaded them to the sdcard in no folder..

Took about 30 seconds for both a 4 page pdf and a jpg image..

I have no save all option just an icon of a floppy disc and u press that to "fetch" the file but doesnt give me a save option anywhere....what am i missing here, also long pressing it does nothing and there isnt a save option in the soft menu button either...

My bad..I had two attachments.."save all" doesn't appear if there is just a lone attachment

I too click on the sdcard emblem and it "fetches" the document and displays it (in what program..I'm thinking ThinkFree for me)

I then hit the settings soft key and choose file (top left row)

It then gives me the option to "save" and I do it prompts me to "save to sdcard"...

It never gives me the option to change the folder or anything..

But it saves it to the root of my sdcard..its just there floating around..

hope that helps..if you don't have thinkfree you might flash it (it's on jaekar's thread)..I like it better than gdocs..

Ensure that you followed the Op...Wipe Data/Factory Reset (some say this isn't necessary if coming from a Froyo ROM, but the dev recommended it)

Wipe Cache's

Etc....

Really need a little more than "it didn't work" here my man..to be able to help you..

+1 on your suggestion, I personally think the data wipe/factory reset should be necessary instead of recommended as it seems TONS of people that don't do it are the ones having the majority of the issues. I just find it safer and less time consuming in the end.

heres what i did. donwloaded thinkfree from market, then it wouldnt open my .pdf so i then just redownloaded adobe. Figured out how to save them u have to dbl tab or quadtroople tap the disk till it says saved to sd card.....thats what worked for me, im sure there is an easier way but i def dont have a save as option.

Can you be more specific about the sort of failure you're having? There are a multitude of ways that things can have gone wrong, here.

I know the first time I loaded commrom, it was buggy as hell, because i was an idiot who restored his system backups in titanium. When i did that for only very specific bits and pieces it was rock solid.

Try clearing your cache and dalvik cache too, if you haven't already. Maybe multiple times. And make sure you're using the right version of CWM. As as been stated in another thread, you want to use this guy: [RECOVERY][ODIN][ZIP][4.22.11]Red Voodoo CWM 3.x UPDATED 4.29.11 - xda-developers

This has been my first custom ROM and so far I'm loving it. The only issue I have so far is that I haven't been able to change the signature in the default email app to anything other than "Sent from Samsung mobile". Is this a universal proplem or something only I have?

Nope, it's not just you. I have the same issue.
