AAArrrggghhh!!! Why am I now having so many problems trying to load up Kang Bang so I can make an ODIN package? Getting massive FC's on boot. Does everyone else still get the Nexus boot animation with Kang Bang? I keep getting just the word android on the middle of the screen with what would appear to be a spot light moving back and forth across the word.

I have the android words booting it up.

That is what I have also. The android word/light and the tv turn off shutdown.

Ahh i feel dumb.. I was looking for a way to turn off battery percentage for about 30 minutes. Little did i know there is a patch for it, DAHHH!

My bad. Sorry everyone. I guess with all the different things I was flashing lately I must have gotten confused. I guess perhaps the nexus boot animation was included in the test package.

That's the only boot animation I've ever gotten with the ComROM... on both phones I've put it on.

loaded the 1.2 patch, which removed ThinkFree and installed Docs. Never used Docs so thought I would give it a try. Only thing bothering me is that ThinkFree supported PDF as well as MS office files. Bloating up with the Adobe PDF reader seems counter-intuitive to me on this great, sleek ROM... what light PDF viewers are suggested?

Is anyone having problems attaching a sound file (specifically mp3) to a text message? My messaging app keeps FCing, when I try to attach a sound file, video or pics work fine.

Finally found an answer by nemesis2all as to what was changed in the new kernel:

Fixes and upgrades that were not ready when 1.0 was released. Upgrade to voodoo sound v8.
Scheduler change, patch that allows minimum frequency to be changed and stick thru reboot. Other small changes check my git or touchwiz thread for more info.

Good luck! Its a long process, but for the most part very easy to follow... let us know how it works!

OK... Admittedly I took a break for a while but I finally got it done. I am in the process of rebooting for the last time and Voodoo woman is talking to me so I know I am good.

I am curious about two thing. the first I'll find out in about 2 minutes.

1. Since I had ED01 and then flashed COM ROM, did it downgrade my radio?
2. Battery life.... I am almost dead right now and will go to sleep shortly and charge overnight. This is the sole reason I an trying your method. If I get the battery life you did, and it is not a quirk, I will be loving life (and you!).

Am I the only one that hates the Samsung clock? Anyone have a way to get the AOSP clock back? The clock and desk dock just don't work for me.

I also like thinkfree as well but I should be a ble to add this back. Anyone take the clock from sc 2.9.2 and add it to this one?

Nevermind ... added the desk clock from an earlier build and all is good.

What exactly is the sound fix that voodoo is supposed to be able to handle? I mean is it in the output speakers out the headphones or the in call quality?

Also... How do removing themes work? I mean I really want to try the green one out for com rom, but don't want it things to get screwy for advancing further in the future. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: ED01 is still there!!

Ha.... looks like you answered your own question! But yes... that process will keep the ED01 radio.... the comm room does not include a radio, so those flashing the rom from SC will still be on the same radio they had before

2... I'm sure you will see improvements! Make sure you charge to 100% (with the phone off) boot into recovery... wipe battery stats... and reboot. Obviously, battery life varies from phone to phone, but this has been BY FR the best battery life I have ever experienced. Good Luck!

not sure on the voodoo sound.... i know you can still use Voodoo Control to increase the headphone volume... other than that, I am not sure

as for removing the themes... if you don't like it, boot to recovery, wipe cache and dalvik, reflash the rom and the theme should be gone

That's what I thought, but what does that look like with these patches? Flash 1.0 again, and go through the patches or is just the patch good enough? Thanks for the help.
