What happens if I don't do a complete factory wipe before installing this? I just hate going through resetting up the entire phone again but perhaps that is the only way.
Some people have had luck with just clearing the caches some have not...its up to you. I was one of the lucky ones, I only cleared both caches 3 times and was good to go.

Anyone else use their video cam much? Since my upgrade from CommRom 1.2 to 1.3 I will get "write failed" errors, normally with longer vids over a minute. Could someone else test this and let me know your outcome. Vid camera was fine with 1.2, recorded several vids on Saturday before upgrading last night.
I would recommend doing a dalvik/cache wipe, but you shouldn't need to to do a full data wipe unless you want to.
So I got Comm ROM 1.3 up and running today. It's pretty smooth so far but I am having some issues with the general settings under TSM parts. I can't seem to get haptic feedback to turn off, I can't get the icons to show up in the notificaiton bar, and even after installing No Lock, the lock screen still activates. I've wiped the cache/davlik two or three times. Am I missing something?
Edit: I also can't seem to connect to my laptop. When plugged in, I hear the sound that it's connected, but there's no usb notification and nothing comes up on the laptop screen.
Snare, ComRom takes care of the conversion for you. Just flash the rom, it's that easy. After you flash com rom the boot will take a little longer and you should hear a female robot voice talking, that is the voodoo conversion taking place. After that your voodoo, so don't install any kernels or Roms that are non-voodoo, and you'll be good to go!

I managed to get the clock to show up by changing the text color and rebooting, but all of the other problems are still there.
Thanks. So just to understand the "in theory" simplicity of this.
Put the Comrom file on my SD card
reboot into recovery
wipe cache and dalvic (I'm hoping to do this without a factory reset)
enable lagfix
flash comrom
and I'm done?
Looks good, sans 'enable lagfix', com rom does it for you. You don't need to enable lagfix prior to flashing the rom in other words. The boot can take up to 15 minutes when your converting to voodoo, so don't panic, just let it do it's thing!
Good luck!
ps...You'll probably have issues with the status bar, just read the last few pages of this thread, you'll find how to fix them.
