[ROM][5.07.2011][ED01]Community Rom V1.3

So can you give us a blow by blow specifics of what you have done?

What ROM did you come from? Are you using the Stock ED01 radio, or ComRom radio? What and how did you set your voltage control settings to? What are you using on your device (phone, wifi, gps, etc.)? How strong a phone signal do you have in your area... etc.

Thanks

Okay yellowfin :)
So I ended up going back to stock. If you want to try it, go here: Samsung Fascinate Rooting, EB01, Return to Stock, Remove System Apps, Other How-To and follow the directions to get back to stock. Then do an OTA (over the air) update for Froyo. You'll have to do two updates for it to be current. After I was running stock froyo (ED01 radio) I flashed the KangBang Comm Rom... at the time it was v1.1. Since then I've flashed both v1.2 and v1.3. As it stands, v1.3 is the booyah for me!
I flashed the rom first, THEN wiped cache and dalvik...

I keep wifi on when it's available. I'm just in the habit now of turning off wifi when I leave anywhere. I keep GPS (google location) on all the time. I keep mobile data on only when I'm not using wifi.

I use a dark background (not a live wallpaper) and I keep it set at auto brightness.

I have decent phone signal... not stellar by any means, but decent.

My voltage controls are actually all back to 0. I didn't reset them after the last flash. Right now I'm super happy with my battery so I don't think I'm going to mess with it yet.

Before I flashed 1.3, my settings were as follows:
Limiter set at: 1000
Scheduler: sio
1000: 0
900: -50
800: -50
600: -50
400: -75
200: -75
100: -75

I may try this again, but like I said, I seem to be doing fine right now...
It's 10:30pm, I've had super heavy usage all day and I'm still at 60%. I can't believe it!

Hope this helps...

Additional Clock Problem

Just loaded V1.3 and my clock does display on the status bar, however it never updates the time. The time is always displayed as the time it was when the phone was powered up. Changing the color, hiding and re-displaying the time nor wiping caches (multiple times) have had any effect. Didn't have this problem with V1.2. Tried to flash back to V1.2 but that doesn't seem to fix it. Only thing I've not tried is flashing back to SC or stock.

Anyone else see this problem?

Thanks,

I initally went back to stock when 2.2 came out just to get ED01. Then went to COMMROM and have continued up to 1.3 two days ago. I am getting GREAT battery life on 1.3. No issues and have not even messed with voltage controls yet. I started my day at 0600 hrs and it is now 2225 hrs with 40% bat left. Made a ton of phone calls, surfed the net, and wireless tethered for about 30 minutes with multiple downloads to computer from tether. Maybe just lucky but I didnt even clear cache or dalv. Running Fancy Widgets with MIUI weather as well.

So, andre and group....You guys rock!!!. Who do I send the coffee money to?

Hey Thanks to all who helped Dev CommRom 1.3. i decided screw it last night since i didn't know what i was doing and just tired to put it on anyways. It was sooooooo simple a caveman could do it!!! Finally figured out my CWM issues(didn't realize there was different versions helps to read i guess). CommRom is the Best, defiantly makes the Fascinate the best phone on the market there is only one thing i would like to know well many things but we will start with this one kinda a request it may just be something I'm missing is there a way to make task manager a widget button like it is in the stock Roms i kinda liked that or if theres not could a Dev make it or maybe point me in the direction of resources that i could study to learn how to do it myself and contribute to one of the best projects ever.

Thanks to all for help and Peace out till next time

Is there a way to fix the camera? Everytime I use the back button to exit camera it freezes and reboots the phone.

Is anyone having problems with the sleep of death with this rom?

It's been reported from some people, don't recall seeing any reports of it with the 1.3 update, but as always it's very well possible. Generally it's due to undervolting too much within the voltage control settings. It's all about finding what works best for your phone as what works for you may not work for another.

what is with the settings in CWM for voltage control? I just realized that everytime I flash the darn thing (every 29 minutes or so) I lose my settings in voltage control.

Did you hit the menu soft key and save your voltage control settings as a boot save that way when you boot your phone up (reboot) the settings stick. Otherwise everytime you reboot you have to reset the voltage control settings.

Exactly and the reason for this is so that if you set poor settings that cause your phone to not boot they will be cleared on next boot. So best is to start with small changes. Let the phone run see if everything is OK. Don't save them for next boot. Reboot and if all is well set them again and choose the option to save them for boot.

Losing Connection?

Upgraded both mine and my brother's phone to v1.3. Since the upgrade he has been missing phone calls. Someone calls and the phone does not ring. I have noticed that my signal strength is not very stable as it can go from zero bars to full strength just sitting on the table. Is this a known issues and if so is there a fix?

Thanks

My phone was doing the same thing. My 3g would go out and I was having hard time getting any connection at all sometimes.

Read somewhere that these problems persisted even when you flashed a new rom so some people were returning there phones to stock and taking back to verizon.

The only thing that worked for me was switching my phone on verizon website to my old blackberry and then switching back my fascinate and dialing *228 option 1 to activate.

Now everything works. Rom is awesome. Try doing the switch thing on verizon first and good luck. I know it's the most frustrating thing.

PS im on 1.2 comm rom. this should work on 1.3 as well.

Clocks

Hi All! I flashed v1.3 last night and it seems to be running smoothly (Thanks!).

I noticed I have two clock apps in my list...does anybody have this as well?
