[ROM][5.07.2011][ED01]Community Rom V1.3

Woke up to a nice surprise of 2.0 being done and ready over at XDA! Very very nice! Time to backup and flash!

I used the eb-01 tw launcher with 1.3 (what can I say I like it) would I still be able to use that on 2.0

Saw over in XDA it is not compatible yet thanks any way

I know that the UKB 2.0 Rom includes the ED01 Radio.... I currently have ED03, so that will be overwritten, correct? From what I have heard, there really isn't much difference (if any) between ED01 and ED03...

Is there anyway to keep ED03? Just curious....

Thanks

Noob questions. I believe CMW 3 comes with purple or blue. What is the difference. Does it matter?

There is no Radio that comes with the rom...You will still have ED03 Radio after you flash....Happy flashing :)

Highlights:
*ED01
*3 versions (2 with voodoo kernels, 1 with no kernel)
*includes TSM Parts (multiple lockscreen options, status bar tweaks, spare parts)
*first froyo rom on sgs phone (i think) to have sgs2 lockscreen
*gingerbread themed (about as detouchwizzed as you can get)
*modded gb launcher2

doesnt that mean it has the ED01 radio?

It just means that there are two with Kernel, and one with no Kernel. I used to confused with this too. You will still get the same radio that you currently have. Anyone correct me if I am wrong on this.

No i don't think so, I think it means it is based off of ED01. I could be wrong though

i was referring to the "ED01" that I bolded...

I know what the difference is with the others

So far I'm liking this rom. I've only been on it for a couple of days so it's hard to say if battery life is good or not. My question is upgrade path for 2.0. I haven't updated my radio in Odin or CWM in a while because I was lazy. I am running

CWM 2.5.1
Baseband EB01 (This is my radio right?)
Build ED01

I know there are updated versions of both radio and Clockwork. My question is should I update my radio and CWM to the newest versions before wiping/flashing 2.0 or am I cool with what I have?

I personally would upgrade to ED01, and I would upgrade to the newer CWM. Your going to have to wipe data for the new ED01 modem but it is recommended you wipe for comrom 2.0 anyways.

So...

Wipe Data
boot to Download mode then Flash ED01 radio
Flash CWM
Wipe Data-Factory Reset/Cache/Dalvik
Flash UKB 2.0
Wipe Data
Boot into new 2.0 rom

I posted yesterday that the Launcher2 patch wouldn't flash using CWM 3.0, that it needed to be Edified.

Fortunately, the Erebos theme I'm (successfully) running on UKB2.0 is built on Launcher2, so it saved me the hassle of flashing CWM 3-30 then back to 3.0.

After setting my voltage, this ROM is crazy fast, super responsive and is, far and byond, the BEST Rom yet!!!

So...

Wipe Data
boot to Download mode then Flash ED01 radio
Flash CWM
Wipe Data-Factory Reset/Cache/Dalvik
Flash UKB 2.0
Wipe Data
Boot into new 2.0 rom

The first step is to go back to DL09 (this will wipe your data)
Here is the link to flash DL09 and ED01 or modem of choice
[MODEM][ODIN][CWM]DL09, EA28, ED01, ED03 modems without ridiculous 100MB OTAs - xda-developers
after your running your modem of choice flash CWM
[RECOVERY][ODIN][ZIP][4.22.11]Voodoo CWM 3.x UPDATED 5.8.11 - xda-developers
Then Wipe data/cache/dalvik
flash comrom 2.0, you may need to enable lagfix, im not sure if it does it for you or not, so do it anyways
then boot

If you are just going to flash the radio via ODIN it won't effect data unless the complete DL09 package is used. I did this just the other day and it worked flawlessly.

Ah i was thinking the whole package, not just the radio.
