[ROM][5/23/12][4.0.4][AXI0M] CROSSBREED and PATIENT ZERO

Re: [ROM][3/15/12][4.0.4]AXI0M Crossbreed & PATIENT ZERO

is there any way to get the stock reboot animation with this?

Re: [ROM][3/15/12][4.0.4]AXI0M Crossbreed & PATIENT ZERO

I resemble that...

Speaking of noobie questions... Is there a link to where older builds are accessible? I missed out on everything prior to V5, so when I'm bored when there are two days without an update, I could try 'em out. ;)

I am loving this, have no idea why I did nto do it sooner. I have looked anyone know how to turn this off

where if you hold the app, it gives you the option box to remove and edit?
and how to remove home screen preview when you press the home button?

Dunno about the first one but the homescreen preview can be turned off in Settings - Rom Control - somewhere. (its called home screen behavior i believe or something like that).

I haven't flashed Patient Zero yet (will be doing that once I get it downloaded.)

Got a few questions:

What's that weather widget app? Does it come with the ROM?

Also what's that black bar spanning accross? (The one with update, home mentions, DM, and search)

Thanx

Before I forget, flashing from Crossbreed to Patient requires a full wipe, right? (Just wanna make sure)

The weather widget is 1weather its free in the market .

You can change the boot anim by unzipping the rom and switching out the folder in system with the stock boot folder... can't remember what its called but I'll try to remember and get back to you with the name of the fi
Folder and the stock files.

You need to use something like Root Explorer (free in the Market) to be able to access system folders.

*EDIT* I'm sorry, Root Explorer doesn't have a free version. File Expert, and most file managers without root access will only give access back to the SD Card.

I just couldn't get V11 to run at all. The boot animation was slow and choppy, and barely made it to the Start Screen where it died a slow death. I'm back to the Monolith B1 version with Franco's R89 kernel, which has been running the best so far. I'm hoping V12 (presumably coming tonight) will actually work.

if you do make a substitution within the ROM it needs to be rezipped with no compression, correct?

Anyone know why I can't get color on my data/wifi signal notification? When I switch the bars to text, it comes up as color but not when it is bars. It doesn't even flash a color when i toggle on/off. It is just constantly gray.

I'm living dangerously and going from V10 to V12, since I was too drunk to realize V11 was out lol

Also, where the hell's the changelog?

DT keeps insisting he included the changelog, but I've yet to find it. It seems everyone else is having the same problem.

This morning I took one more stab at Patient Zero. I flashed V10, and after a reboot, and a couple other things, immediately flashed V11 (existing user), which is total garbage on my phone. Herky Jerky boot process with partial segments of video noise flashing the entire time (the same as the first four times I tried it previously). It finally made it to the Start screen (after pressing the power buttom 5-6 times). That kept locking up, but made it thru. The ROM wouldn't run the desktop, so I rebooted to recovery, and flashed V12, which gives the endless boot loop. Many people are having the same problem, and regardless of the outcome, there's something inherently wrong with the whole build if you have to sequentially install every version to try and get it to work. I certainly wouldn't let that fly in a business, and should be corrected before going further. From what I hear, V12 has other problems with blueish colors, and the auto-brightness being whacked. After all that I went back to V10, figuring I'd wait for V13, but on first boot I tried put it to sleep before doing a reboot, but powered off with a single quick press of the power button, and proceeded into a boot loop. So I'm back to Monolith B1, which seems to run fine.

That's my review. I certainly appreciate the work DT puts into it, but instead of pumping these out daily for the rabid fans who keep pushing for it, maybe some time should be given to look into some reported serious problems which will plague the build, and make it unstable. I know it's in test phase, but it can't be tested if you can't load it...

Re: [ROM][3/18/12][4.0.4]AXI0M Crossbreed & PATIENT ZERO

I have two questions about patient zero.

First, The instructions listed on the first post for patient zero do not match the instructions in the droidhive thread for installing patient zero. The instructions on the droidhive thread do not include the wiping because it is built into the rom install script.

Second, the droid hive thread says that with V12 Data will be saved. What does that mean? I thought it was mandatory to wipe everything and the rom took care of that.
