[ROM][5/23/12][4.0.4][AXI0M] CROSSBREED and PATIENT ZERO

Re: [ROM][3/20/12][4.0.4]AXI0M Crossbreed & PATIENT ZERO

Dawn - can you still get into recovery? Can you flash a nandroid/backup? Or are these problems just relating to the installation, not necessarily the phone currently (meaning it still functions upon reboot).

I would suggest flashing a nandroid/backup, and downloading the files to a COMPUTER, transfering said files from the computer to the SDcard/phone, doing a FULL WIPE--DATA/CACHE/DALVIK, FORMATTING SYSTEM, and then flashing the radios/bootloader (Get Ready) first and the rom second.

Re: [ROM][3/18/12][4.0.4]AXI0M Crossbreed & PATIENT ZERO

I am in desperate need of help. I have attempted, unsuccessfully, about a hundred times to flash the 4.0.4 rom. I am currently running AOKP AXIOM B13 on my Bionic. When I try to install the .zip from my sd card I get this error

format() expects 3 args, got 4
E:Error in /emmc/AXIOM_CROSSBREED_MONOLITH_B1_SIGNED.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted

When I try flashing the get ready package (not sure if I needed it or not) I get the following error

E:Error in /sdcard/GET_READY_PACKAGE.zip
(Status 6)
Installation aborted

My phone also continues to boot first into AP fastboot, not sure how I managed to do that, but it's annoying, how do I change it?

I'm just not understanding the problem roms, and after 2 days of endless searching online I can't seem to find anyone having the same problem. I am so sad that I haven't been able to run this! Please help!!!

My Kernel version I am currently running is 2.6.35.7-g83f1a47
vvm736@il93lnxdroid43#1

This rom is for galaxy nexus. You are trying to install it on a bionic?

If that's just a typing error, and you're trying to flash on a CDMA-LTE galaxy nexus, dmmarck's instructions should do the trick.

Make sure you're download's are good by checking md5 sum (hashdroid app in market will help you check the character strings if you'd like).

Oh crikey I didn't even recognize that Bionic.

Does DT have a Bionic rom?

Everything else is functioning normally, apparently I have been trying to install a rom for a differen't phone. I'm fairly new to the this, so I appreciate the help.

Yes yes. Make sure you find a rom for the Bionic. Check the Bionic forums here, on RootzWiki, and XDA.

@dmmarck

Flashing Roms/Radios/Kernels/etc.--The Noob Guide to Android Customization - Super Off Topic Syndicate

Follow the instructions here to the letter for the task you're attempting. Member dmmarck shared that with me when I first started.

From what you're experiencing, my first recommendation is to always make sure you wipe everything as described, and format the system before flashing anything. Start with the Get Ready Package, followed immediately by the V14 ROM (New User).

Someone else chime in if you know for sure that the Bionic is slated for the 4.0.4 radios, and if this ROM is compatible. An Android is an Android, bu I'm not sure of the radios.

Re: [ROM][3/20/12][4.0.4]AXI0M Crossbreed & PATIENT ZERO

'Bout time! I won't have much time to play with this version until after classes (5:30pm). If anyone has any observations, please, as always, post!

For those that were missing it, Axiom is back in the notification drop down

Damn! I have to brush up on my typing. Six responses while I was typing that last message.

Questions answered... ;)

Thanks for the shoutout ;). That's my basic guide for flashing, so make sure you check step 1 or whatever and do your homework on roms!

Also, I believe DT develops for the Bionic as well. The radios and such I would absolutely hold off on, if only because they're Verizon Nexus specific.

Do not, under any circumstances, try to flash a rom on your bionic that isn't made for the bionic, let alone radios intended for a different phone! Lol.....

@dmmarck regarding the changelog you usually have to click the link at the bottom of DT's OP to reach the page with the changelog.. Tho he might not have updated it yet.

Stacman.. An android is not an android, lolz, every rom contains coding and drivers that are 100% phone-specific :)

So I need to be a DH member for that bottom link? Drats. I'll do that later folks, my apologies!

My guess is that if DT didn't update the download page, he probably didn't get to the changelog yet either.

2defmouze, thanks for the correction. Makes perfect sense, but I wasn't sure so I'm glad you guys chimed in...

This. Don't flash radios that are not meant for your device, if you want your phone to work.

How can he say these are 4.0.4 radios? There the same as my 4.0.3 radios

They're also the same as the leaked 4.0.4 radios. Please see the 4.0.2 to 4.0.4 thread. It's quite possible they're the same, but the numbers matched up when I flashed the 4.0.4 package in early Feb.
