My battery just kept overheating with 2.4. Let's see if this is better. My camera started going bonker and phone started moving really slow. Never said anything in the forum since I knew you all were about to update. Just installed now I am going to test this out. One question, I can't remove bloat the way you all said. Just go to setting, apps, manage. It doesn't give me the option to remove the bloat. Only allow me to force stop. Had the same issue with 2.4, or am I doing something wrong.

Did the AC Rom team decide to remove the streaming music quality fix? Is there another fix on the way?

In testing it casued more problems then what its worth.Audio quality isn't bad at all i spent two solid days going over it and listening its good.Make sure you have the most updated apps from the market.

Im not sure why you have a issue but try this download astro from the market.Open it,press menu, select tools, select application manager/backup,then select the apps you don't want and press menu uninstall.
The issue with the battery was due to the camera it should be good to go.I took plenty of video in both resolutions without problems or overheating.

So far no overheating and i have used the different settings on the Camera. Also the Astro app solved my bloat problem. Again....you all are the best at customer service troubleshooting. Keep it up.

Ok, I LOVE the new "smooth" icons. The battery icon rocks! Thanks so much. Can anyone point me to a good source for SetCPU words of wisdom? STarting down that road now.

The thread linked in the FAQ in post #2 has some really good info. I don't think he dives into changing governors but I only have mine changed in a couple of profiles. An example would be for my screen off I lock min and max to 245 and set the governor to powersave. Once you read that how to you'll see there's not really a science to it. It's not as scary as some might think.

Hope this helps.

Are the new animated icons loaded automatically or do we have to enable them? They don't seem to be showing up for me. I should see the charging one at least because it's plugged in and charging now, but it's still the stock icon.

EDIT: blacjac30 straightened me out. You do have to go back in to recovery and flash the zip called smooth sense.

After you load the ROM look on your SD card. There should be a zip file called smooth or something like that. It's called smooth-sense. Boot into recovery and flash it. :) Hope this helps

How do you return to stock icons if you do not like them?

If you made a nadroid backup before flashing the zip then restore it.If not im going to make a zip to return to stock, ill have it up later today.

nah, don't make a .zip just for that. just have em flash the ROM again. just takes a little bit longer to do.

Glad to see people are digging the new release!

Just want to remind everyone that this project is open to the community and if you have skills or knowledge in any certain area, we welcome/encourage your input. We also welcome suggestions for improvements but those will be considered secondary to improving core functionality.

How about just theming it a bit more with the AC color scheme? Like where it says Sprint in the notification shade (make that blue?). And maybe make the background color of the app drawer white instead of black.

I'm no developer but judging by my experience there isn't a whole lot of room for improvement. :)

I had a strange situation last night. I was playing around with wireless tether trying to get it to work (wasn't able to consistently, but I was tired). It seemed like the battery was draining more than it should, but have only been running this for a day. Turned on airplane mode and turned in. 15 or 20 minutes later I heard the Sprint 4G sound during reboot. Picked up phone and the Sprint 4G animation was going in slow motion. I powered off the phone and went to bed. This morning it rebooted normally and seems to be fine. Any ideas? What kind of trouble shooting steps should I take if it occurs again? I am running AC-ROM-v.2.5 (not lite).

well, it sounds like you probably had something going rogue on you and it could have been the ROM or it could have been a bunch of other things. Next time it happens i would say try to do a logcat and or start shooting things down with a task manager.

i just did my online fantasy draft with no problems using wireless tether. my buddy was using my hot spot as well and it worked flawlessly.

Hey todivefor,

Nick is giving you some great advice that should get you settled but i wanted to take a moment and elaborate a little.

1) The wireless tether app is a battery hog on any ROM. It killed my hero (donut, eclaire), it kills my EVO (eclaire, froyo), and it kills my brothers Vibrant. Unfortunately that app is an extremely intense process for the phone. The good news is that because of all the battery tweaks and twists we've made ... you'll get great battery life on this ROM period. :)

2) Regarding you're connectivity issues. Have you tried using wifi analyzer (free in the market) to check for a clean channel around you? Connecting through a dirty channel (read - too much traffic) can cause connectivity issues with Wireless Tether. What you should do is use the above mentioned app to find a nice clean channel, then in the settings menu of wireless tether, switch to that channel. FYI, Wireless Tether is on 6 by default which is a heavily utilized channel. Lots of people were having an issue with connectivity due to the channels so thats why in PRE 8 the ability to change channels in WT was introduced.

Hope this helps
