i was wondering about this really quick
lets say you come from a rom with a custom kernel and then you go with this one, would that custom kernel stay or would that have any side effects on my phone's battery or any functionality?

We have our own kernel included in the ROM so when you flash this ROM kiss your old kernel goodbye

You can of course flash compatible kernels over top of this ROM but you need to understand and respect that fact that we don't support anybody's code but our own (which includes apps). There are some known bugs with the other kernels out there that will impact any ROM. Some examples of this are netarchy's current beta kernel which is compatible with this ROM but is know to cause issues with your screen becoming unresponsive. Want another example? How about kings compatible kernel which is OC'ed so high that unless you know what you're doing it will cause your phone to lockup and bootloop. These are things we cannot control.

We only support our ROM with our kernel, period. One of the great things about our ROM is we created it to look and smell like sense but performance, usability, and battery-wise were on a different level. Are there areas we can improve? sure. I'm not saying it's perfect or even perfect for everyone BUT I will say with 100% confidence we kicked HTC's *** in a major way

Hey great to see you guys over here on the EVO I used beezy's hero roms for a long time always really great!

Quick question any plans for a update for the latest 3.28 ota leak ??

After installing AC-ROM 2.5, I updated to latest radio and wimax. I seem to be getting fewer bars on my radio since the update. I updated from 2.05.00.06.10 on Burnt Droid 1.0. I am contemplating going back to that radio. Anyone see anything similar or have any ideas?

My signal has stayed the same if not gotten better (could just be placebo affect).

On a side note, are you guys still trying to get the ROM into ROM Manager?

wow, you know, we haven't looked at or talked about that in quite some time. We are busy working on some projects for this ROM and other stuff.

Once things quiet back down a bit we can probably look around and see what fell off our plate in all the craziness. Thanks for the reminder though, will toss that on the list.

So dose anyone have a list of themes that works with this Rom
i have been looking around and allrdy had to do 2 restores because a theme would not allow my cell to turn on,

i am looking for a black theme nothing crazy maybe a stock black and blue theme would be great,

I do wanna say that great Rom, The change in speed is incrediable from the stock Rom great work.

Any Theme that's made for deodexed froyo ROMs should work but Beezy and Sprintgirl have a great thread where you can find themes. You will want to make sure you get the froyo version of any theme you grab because 2.1 themes won't work on Froyo.

Here are your 2 basic rules ...
1) Must be a 2.2 (froyo) theme
2) Must be for deodexed ROMs

Any theme that meets those rules should work. Also if you feel like getting a little crazy, you can make your own theme.

Thanks you very much i will keep a eye on that.
i might just stick with the stock theme for now,

i looked into makeing my own theme i might attempt it here soon, but i need to get my hands on PS first.

I'm thinking about rooting this weekend and have a couple of questions.

1) Whats the difference between the lite and normal on now? It says see the changelog, but I don't see a difference.

2) What am I losing by using this rom? I see problems about not being able to get apps from the market or update PRL in different threads about different roms. Is that rom specific?

Lite has a lot of the bloat removed.

This ROM runs pretty much like stock. I've been running it since it came out and haven't had any problems with apps from the market or anything like that. The PRL can be updated just like any other ROM.

See above in BOLD.

Ok, it appeared to me that both had the bloat placed so that I can uninstall it. Is that the case? Is there away I can get some of those apps back into the lite if I find I want them?

Judging from the first two posts it seems you are right about the bloat. I haven't personally run the lite so I can't say for sure what the specific differences are. If you delete a bloat app that you want back I believe doing a dirty flash (just flashing the ROM on top of itself without wiping anything) should restore the app.

Download the full version to your PC and use 7zip to edit the file. Do not extract it just edit it or you'll break the signature.

Everything you may or may not want will be tucked safely in system/app or data/app. I urge you not to get too creative without a nand backup cause if you get too crazy you're bound to screw something up ... trust me :)

Hmm...I just had a thought. The new version of Sense SHOULD be in the Desire HD system dump. I wonder if that'll ever make it into this ROM...

Hi, I just installed this. I'm new to this and a little confused. This seems to allow me to uninstall Sprint apps, which is great. But I was under the impression that it would also allow me to run vanilla 2.2 android. It is still running Sense (and I can't delete any HTC apps or widgets either), and it still seems to have the sprint hotspot. Is this what everyone else also has, or is there something wrong with the way I set it up?

This is a sense based rom. If you want vanilla androind, your going to need another rom, like cynogen.

You have to use a root explorer and install the wifi tether. The apk is on the rom, just not installed.

This is sense based rom but if you wanted to have some vanilla then you could download a launcher and remove htclockscreen.apk.That would give you the vanilla look.Wifi tether is in the rom and should install when flashing the rom you don't have to install it.

Thanks, I'll try this for now. I've got the hotspot working, and I'm attempting to delete HTC bloat now. Out of curiosity, has anyone had any problems with using a lot of data while tethering? I'm in a 4G zone, and I've always thought about getting rid of my cable modem altogether.
