Been putting this issue through its paces (toggling, rebooting, etc). As a result, I've gotten several FCs on AMLauncher. Any thoughts?
I don't have the fancy battery meter and I can't find the ACE ROM Extras on my SD card. Can anyone help?
is there a way to tell if I got the Ace Rom installed properly?
You can go to your settings>manage applications and clear the data/cache on AMLauncher. AMLauncher has been very solid, simply because its a simple launcher.
I think my issue is a Kernel problem.. Is there a way I can revert it back to the old kernel and still use this ROM?
I'm still getting the full battery alert, sound and phone lights up. Isn't it suposed to be killed in this rom. I'm running version 1.7
So I followed all the steps here to get my phone rooted and have ext4 (http://forum.androidcentral.com/epi...c-4g-official-froyo-eb13-w-optional-ext4.html) and everything worked perfectly.
Now I'm having trouble using the ACE rom. I downloaded ACE 1.7 onto my SD card, but I need help from there.
When I go to install zip from sdcard > choose zip from zipcard > ACE ROM 1.7.zip, then yes to the install, I get an error. It says E: cant open sdcard/ACE ROM 1.7 zip (bad) Installation aborted
What am I doing wrong? Im not sure exactly how to load the rom but I was assuming you just go to it through the sd card in clockworkmod recovery.
I will check on this...
As far as I can tell, my phone just hit the full mark and all it does is show the pop up in the status bar saying full. The constant lit screen with the popup message is gone and that was what the battery full kill was supposed to do.
Can I ask have you flashed any changes like a different lockscreen or something along those lines? The file that controls the battery pop up kill is called "services.jar" its located in "/system/framework/". If you have flashed something that modded the services.jar file it is possible the battery pop up kill was removed.
My phone has been going black (looks like it's off) now on the 2nd day of this ROM. A battery pull is all that will reset it so that I can press the power button to turn it back on. It will not reset or turn on prior to the battery pull. I did get an error message about this Kernel when starting an app at one time that indicated that the app could not run because the Kernel did not support IPv6, which was odd, but that was only one time after a reboot.
