I would probably use this as my daily driver if the Plume widget scrolling would work, tried it out again today to no avail.

Sorry I have no knowledge of the Plume widget scrolling.. Am I missing something big here??

@paul

getting the black icon to work from ter v1.8. i uninstalled the update and the icon went black but when the update was installed again it went back to regular.

i tried pulling the gmail app from emotionless beast but i did not get it to work

i did get the extra clock out of ter though

Robomav, I will try and pull the latest GMail for you and see about applying the icon... When you flashed the Gmail with the icon things were okay, but yes as soon as you apply the update from the Market it just overwrites the Gmail.apk.

Nothing too big really, "scrollable" widgets just don't seem to work on amlauncher from my experience... TER had the same problem for me.

Oh okay... Well you can still use ACE and just add a launcher of your choice to get your widget to work.

Grab Home Switcher from the Market to make changing launchers easy and then grab whatever launcher you want.

I still can't figure why I got all those fc's when I tried that... >.<

Anyone tried the genocide .4 kernel yet? Thought I would ask first. Seems like you loose root with the other roms. Then just run the oneclickroot.

I have not yet. Yes that is correct, if you loose root just run the OneClickRoot again.

Does ACE ROM Disable Journaling on EXT4?

I've had some data issues on other ROMS after random lockups etc... I guess ideally there would be no random lockups... But it seems that comes with the territory of toying with things.

I tried Genocide 0.4 on it and it seemed to work extremely well for the short time I had it on there. I did lose root. For me it felt just a bit smoother overall than 0.3 or twilight did.

Ok, I'm trying to "Save" ACE rom and CWM3 won't have it. I was told by Paul to not use it now and that's cool but what are my options if not CWM3? I don't want to lose these settings even though I have no plans to stop using ACE now.

Also, I have never had GPS or Bluetooth problems but my battery is atrocious! I see all these people bragging on the battery life but I'm just not there....had it running for 2 weeks now. I've tried unchecking the autosync and other tips, even showing JuiceDefender getting 2.26 times the normal life and still down to 45% by the time I leave work at 5 pm. Thoughts?

He said not to use ROM manager to back things up, not CWM3. While they are together, they're not the same.

If that's an 8 hour work day with moderate use... ummm.... you are getting decent battery life.

45% is pretty good depending on your usage... I have gone 2 days but I would classify myself as a light user comparing myseld to some guys here with there usage and they say they are a moderate user lol.. Also if you have setpcu installed , I am clocked at 800 and at night I switch from conservative to powersave mode...

I am at 19% after 1day 7hrs 8mns & 17secs of being unpluged...
Again I am a light user on average.... Today i was on 4G and was watching some videos on youtube so It drained down abit....

Agreed. No matter how I set it up and how much power it said it was saving, I got noticably better battery life after I got rid of Juice Defender

Probably not. That CIQ Removal is very specific on what you can and can't use.

Kind of explains a bit of why ACE isn't running it at this time.

That's with it sitting on my desk, untouched, while I work and use my office phone. IF I use it (say for Grooveshark), I plug it in. Without plugging it in and it sitting idle, that's the numbers.

Oh well, I was hoping some of the numbers some were quoting would soon by mine. I may uninstall Juice Defender -- thanks to all who suggested that.
Will report back after a few days of checking it out.
What about other options to back up ACE withOUT using CWM3? I'm just not sure what else is out there to back it up.
