I wanna try the modem too, but I'm waiting for more clarification that it will be worth it before I try and flash the thing.

@SVX: every time I see a post from you it makes me wanna go buy a Subaru lol.

:) had an SVX for 11yrs and it was one of my true loves in life! Some older pics at the bottom here:

Welcome to the ISV-Knights!

Anyway, anyone else having problems with Wired Tether? I tried it and it tells me the kernel is not supported. I am using the latest Twilight kernel with ACE.

Update 3/22/11:

I'm sorry to say at this time I will be putting further development on hold. I'm not saying for sure if I'm done but at this time due to EC05 being released and waiting to see what new things develop its only fair to let users of ACE ROM know that I need time to weigh my options. I still encourage new users to give ACE a test drive as its proven itself to be a very stable ROM producing little or no FC's or real issues for the user. For the current users of ACE, thank you for your support and use of ACE. I will still be here on the AC forums and depending on how things work out I may continue development in the near future.

One last gift to you all before I'm done at this time... Something I was saving for the next release but I can always come up with something new if that time comes..

ACE Themed Wallpaper & Status/Notification Bar w/stock battery meter w/1% gauge (Flash in CWM 3.0.0.6)

Enjoy, its built into the AMLauncher wallpaper and also has the ACE ROM themed notification bar.

Thank you for the parting gesture!

I understand your position completely. Your ROM is the BEST one I have used to date with absolutely ZERO (and I mean ZERO!!!!) FC's. I will be closely watching your Dev progress on any further ROM's.

Do you have a PP donate account? Your efforts with ACE are well deserving!

Thank you again for all the hard work!

that SVX is beautiful. only thingthat has topped me from getting one (beyond not being able to find any in decent shape) is the rampant transmission failures. that Legacy GT is nice too, love those things. Anywho, back on topic- Ace rules! lol

I'm trying to figure out if this is unique to my phone or a google issue. Ever since I flashed the ace rom, my google navigation' pinch and zoom function doesn't work. Don't know if it's a coincidence or someone else experiecing this. Pinch zoom works on google maps. If someone else experienced this, is there a fix?

Thanks no donation necessary. Your support for ACE and Android Central is enough for me ;)

Only time will tell...

I want to ask here - because it's like family, and if you see me as an idiot, well so does my Kickball team.
I still use TER 1.5. I had considered moving to ACE, but although different they seemed close enough and I didn't want to have to go back through and re-configure everything.
But with CM7 Alpha 1 and 2 being out soon - how to the three compare?
We already know TER and ACE and can get enough of an idea with CM7 from the development history.
But I don't know how to look at them and consider how one might be more beneficial. From a use standpoint. What does ACE have that TER doesn't and what is CM7 looking to have that staying with either ACE or TER might be easier?
I've been following the pages on XDA about it - but I don't quite understand the kernel's and other things that seem to make a difference.
I appreciate what has been done - and I wouldn't want to leave a most excellent ROM for something that is comparable.

Well ACE and TER are similar in relationship that they are both very solid roms. They offer the bloat removed and some minor theming with some of the more popular mods applied. TER has its own identity and so does ACE.

CM7 is pure Android, Gingerbread. No bull, no bloat, no touch wiz. The built in CM features alone are worth trying. Bunch of little customizing u can do without having to flash a change/mod. Last I ran it I pulled some excellent benchmarks on stock kernel and its only Alpha 1. I said then and will again now by the time they get it all tweaked and ready it will be running faster than most ROMs now with custom kernels... I'm very excited..

i still just want to figure out how to make my epic do the little overscroll glow thing without using CM7. :( I'm using Bonsai 4.0 as my base rom.. porting in elements from ACE, Frankenstein, CM, and numerous other themes and roms. I cannot figure out how to grab the glow effect tho...

Its part of Cyanogen Mod. I don't think you can pull it from there.

@Paul

Again thanks for your great work on ACE. I do hope you take it up again for an EC05 rom.

I will still be running ACE for a while!

4th. for sure. I like bonsai.. but i liked ACE better. I kinda feel like a traitor switching to an XDA dev rom >.< but it had become the center of my new experimenting and i decided to just keep it until ACE (or another AC designed rom) became available for ec05

I may have jumped ship to SRF but I agree ACE is one of the best out there and would love to see a ec05 version. If you could get a working no CIQ version working it would probably replace SRF again.

has anyone had trouble using gtalk now. the icon is there, i've tried to install it, but it is not installing
