Just noticed something... when charging, as the battery icon "cycles" after the blue it goes to stock for a second or two, shows the end of orange cycle, then continues normally.

...now after screen off and on it just pauses at ~30%orange for a sec and continues to yellow. just fyi.

LOL.. I know.. Bare with me I messed up the battery mod images again when I threw this update out. I plan on releasing a new update again in a day or two if I can get a few other additions working and I will have the battery images correct on that release...

Pressures of a new ROM dev...

how do I flash the new update but keep all my current settings? I am on ACE Beta. Do I backup, then flash and then restore? I'm still new to the Rooting thing..

This is my first rom I have ever flashed, but I have a reoccuring problem. Everytime I try to install a app from the market, the phone reboots itself then the download resets. How can I fix this? I love this rom, the speed is amzing! Thanks!

You have to convert to EXT4 first. See this thread.

Great job!

Nice job on the new EB13 ROM, Paul! This does seem to zip along quite fast with EXT4 and the lightweight size. Thanks for your hard work in keeping us Epic owners up with some new Froyo goodness. I also really like the bootup screen animation you chose.

FYI - I used the ODIN method to get to the pre-rooted EB13 and EXT4 w/ CW3. Then I flashed ACE 1.6 and was able to restore my apps with MyBackup Root with no problems :D

So far it still seems bluetooth itself works (pairing to the headset) but BT voice-dialing is still broken when used on EXT4. BT voice dialing did work fine for me under stock EB13 w/ RFS. I will rejoice when there's a solid (actual working) fix for this which I'm confident will be soon enough.

Thanks again!

Can I configure the number of desktops?

First off, many thanks to Paul627g for the great work. This is my first custom ROM and I am really enjoying it.

I did have one question though, and I apologize if this has been covered before, but I'm not clear on what terminology to use so my googling has turned up nothing so far.

How do I get back to 7 'desktop's or 'launcher screens' or whatever they are called? My kids call them 'the dots'. =) This ROM has 5 desktops, but stock Froyo for Epic 4Gs seems to be 7 desktops. I have 3 kids and each of them gets their own 'dot' to hold their games, so I am feeling quite crowded now with just 5.

Is this a property of AMLauncher? Can it be easily reconfigured?

Thanks!

Search for GO Launcher EX in the market, once installed, press menu -> preferences -> screen settings and add all the screens you want (I added up to 27! And could add more!).

This is a product of AMLauncher that is in the ROM. Its built mainly for speed and a nice looking app list/drawer. The dev of the AMLauncher has stated once he finishes other projects he has going he will be working on updating the AMLauncher with new features. Until then you can install the "stock" TouchWiz Launcher that comes with Froyo, that is probably what you and your kids are used to...

TouchWiz (Stock) Launcher (Flash in CWM)

I checked my baseband and for some reason it says dk28... Did i do something wrong?

The only reason I can see that your baseband would say that is your not upgraded to Froyo EB13? Are you still running Froyo DK28?

Hey Paul,
Updated to v1.6 no issues at all. Just curious, but why not include the google search zip in the rom?
