Just flash it in CWM, no wipe required.Sorry for the dumb question but in order to flash the battery fix do I just flash it as if it were a rom or as an update?
In CWM when i first used it I used my volume control to go up and down thru the menu and the home button to choose items. When I went to install this rom it wouldn't work that way... I had to use the keyboard... Is this the way it's suppost to be ? Maybe i missed something that stated this will happen...
Yes when you flash (install) these zips in the second post they become part of the ROM updating it. I will eventually release an updated ACE ROM v1.7 but in post #2 is a few restores and changes that you the user can make until the next update.@Paul627g
Hello ... After the ota update was pulled I decided to go ahead and root my phone .. Being new to this stuff, A little scared of damaging my phone I stook to just reading... I rooted my tablet (coby) nothing grand but it helped me learn...
So I rooted my phone and I installed this rom lastnight and I just saw the zips on the second post... So from what I am understanding from an earlier post , you will just put updates in the second post ... The rom # 1.6 will stay the same for now and these zip updates will become part of the 1.6 rom once I install it into my phone ?
When navigating in CWM all you need to do is use your VOL UP/DOWN to scroll and Camera button to select. Also maybe not for this thread but , In CWM when i first used it I used my volume control to go up and down thru the menu and the home button to choose items. When I went to install this rom it wouldn't work that way... I had to use the keyboard... Is this the way it's suppost to be ? Maybe i missed something that stated this will happen...
Not at this time.Do you know of a fix for the bug in gmail that only deletes messages from the device, and not from gmail itself?
Soon. I'm giving myself a few days to explore some new mods to make v1.7 even more interesting and also make it a version you guys can drive for a while. What's the ETA on 1.7? Can't wait to strap that baby on!
I've used this rom for about 3 days now and I see a significant improvement in battery life compared to ter 1.5. Through fairly heavy use on ter I'd get to about 15 percent battery after 8 hours. On this rom with the same usage I'm getting to 40 percent by that same time. YMMVFor those that switched from TER to this ROM, how does it compare and how does battery life compare? I love TER and this sounds like a good ROM to switch over to, to ensure that I have the official Froyo release.
@Paul. Nice to see you extending yourself. You were very helpful in the TER thread and I look forward to trying this ROM out soon![]()
The message your getting has something to do with the Genocide kernel your running, I see it listed in the message. You could try to flash the regular Duel RFS/EXT4 kernel and then try that app again.Hey guys just moed to ACE ROM 1.6 from TER.
The battery life is very similar on both ROMs. over all i still like TER a little bit more because i had just gotten used to it ha but im sure Paul will make this one a great ROM as well.
The only problem i have really had its with the words with friends app. When i open the app i get the following message "http://androidsdk.ads.mp.mydas.mobi/getAd.php5?sdkapid=28986&auid=A0000024545CE7&ua=Mozilla/5.0%20(Linux;%20U;%20Android%20Genocide_0.3a_EB13_OC/UV_Kernel;%20en-us;%2020SPH-D700%20Build/FROYO)%20AppleWebKit/533.1%20(KHTML,%20like%20Gecko)%20Version/4.0%20Mobile%20Safari/533.1SPH-D700&mmisdk=3.6.3-10.10.26.a&mode=live&adtype=MMBannerAdTop"
Also do you know if the Galaxy Tab email zip will work with this ROM?
