Plainfield- I was north quite a bit. Born in Skokie, raised in Wheeling/Arlington Heights, last in Crystal Lake- we kept moving northwest along the I90.

Still miss that state. Don't miss the extreme summers (over 100+humidity!) or winters (-92 with the windchill one of the last years I was there!).

Beautiful state though and great people- amazing junkfood. I could live off this website's food: Lou Malnati's - Tastes of Chicago

Very close.. I have boot animation in hand.. Working on optimizing it so it runs properly...

::does little dance:: this makes my night better. i've been playing all night trying to theme 2 things on my phone and i cant get it right (cant find which image i need to edit to do what i want.. its frustrating). cant wait to flash this! (downloading now)


btw- if you get bored.. maybe check the SRF thread and see if you know which images i need to use (posted my problem and screen caps with the things i want to theme circled).

I want to flash this so bad but im SOOOO close to getting this theme down like i want it... then i can port it over to ACE too... its so frustrating. AHH. in like 10 mins i'm going to just say F* it and flash ACE. I've been waiting for this since the day the "no ec05 version" news hit. but after hours of working on this stupid project i cant just throw it aside.

OK = minor problem. When I go to my "My Backup Root" I get a message saying "your phone does not have root access" , but I obviously do have "root" and even have my "Superuser". "Titanium Backup" gives me similar message = "sorry could not acquire root privileges". But everything else seems to be working fine. I had to download AppMonster from the market in order to re-install all my previous apps.

What is the difference between journaling enabled and no journaling?

I am on 1.7 based on EB13 w/RFS/EXT4. Just to be clear, I need to flash EC05 modem in CW, then apply ACE 2.0 in CW?

For the second question, I think the answer is yes. As long as you are using CWM3.

Journaling is a file safety system to prevent file system corruption. Journaling disabled will let you squeeze a few more points out of a benchmark, at the risk of file system corruption should your phone have a problem (of any sort) that causes an instant reboot. Journaling enabled will save you grey hair and much frustration.

After seeing the results of no journaling, I personally will never use a rom that does not have journaling enabled. I need my phone to be relatively stable and really don't care if my benchmark scores are 2% higher.

I ask this because I was about to post a bug. This rom didn't flash the Twilight Zone kernel. It says it is going to flash the kernel and the screen will flash, but the screen doesn't flash and I still have my old kernel.

I will look into this, it was late when I posted it and I may have mixed up build versions at the end. I did have one that wasn't flashing the kernel because I was changing things in testing...

Update: I see my error, used the wrong "final" installtion script when I finished the build last night. Until then please refer to the installation instructions in the OP post to fix the problem.

See, now you know another version of ACE ROM will have to be made to fix the bug... LOL....

Gotcha... Just rolled out of bed and I see "its full of stars..." I said to myself oh shoot what did I do wrong now.. LOL.... I remember the movie...

Uploading fixed version of ACE ROM v2.0

As of 10:45am CDT, I pulled the download link to the ACE ROM v2.0 " journaling enabled" version. I am uploading a fixed version to amend the installation error I made so the kernel will properly flash.

The upload should take about 45 minutes and the ROM will available to download again.

Sorry for the inconvenience, I don't want to put anyone threw any extra hoops to install the ROM so that is why I pulled the download link to fix it ASAP.
