Basically, you can change it to make it seem like your phone has a bigger screen. So, everything is smaller, but you can fit more in terms of icons / widgets and some would say that it looks sharper and just better all around. However, it can cause issues with apps from the Market and with CM9 unless you replace the Phone.apk. Screenshots provided for comparison. The left is standard density of 160, the right is mine. My homescreen, density of 120, notice the status bar and how much smaller the bottom dock is, also, I have 5 icons on the right and room for 2 more. Also notice a huge difference in Messaging, lots more room for messages and such, but I couldn't post any sort of decent screenshot of my SMS logs, lol.

Oh ok, so its just like Androids version of Resolution for windows.

Thanks ^^

Haha, yes, I suppose that would have been a much simpler explanation. My bad. :)

You don't write anything, you delete the # before the line, however, this is only to make our ICS ROM work, not Gingerbread ROMs, that line doesn't even exist in those build.prop files AFAIK, I just took a walk through comparing ICS build.prop to IHOs and don't remember seeing it in the GB one.

Question about this, do you use a root manager/file browser to do this? Or is it unzipping/rezipping?

Or is there something that I need to download like a build.prop editor?

I just did it by extracting only the build.prop, and then I edited it using notepad++ once I finished I added it back to the zip file.

coming from someone who has no experience coding android...take this with a grain of salt.

we had luck on the S with data when this line was enabled in the build.prop. i dont know if it will help you guys, but its worth a shot.

Code:
#ro.telephony.ril.v3=signalstrength,skipbrokendatacall,facilitylock,datacall,icccardstatus,1

delete the # to make it look like this

Code:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=signalstrength,skipbrokendatacall,facilitylock,datacall,icccardstatus,1

I have no doubt it will do nothing, but, hey, worth a shot maybe?

Thank you! My 3g doesn't toggle anymore! We needed this workaround badly man

Edit: can tdm put the workaround in the OP?

Me personally, I'm sticking with Harmonia 2.06 for now. I noticed that my OV was acting kinda funky with ICS running (which is completely understandable, considering the fact that this is only sitting at an alpha stage right now). I personally can't wait for the first stable release. If there are Android wizards here who are willing to take a young padawan under their wing and teach him the force, he'd love to learn. I have ICS on my Nook and I absolutely love the taste. Can't wait to see this ROM grow into a fruitful piece of work.

This is my Tapatalk 2 signature. Rockin' the app on my Nook Color running ICS 4.0.4, courtesy of Dalingrin, Fattire, and our other beloved XDA weenies (nemith, keyodi, arcee, hacdan, etc.)

I just installed alpha 7 and it is working wonderfully.
I'm so happy I thought I'd let every one know :)
Thanks to all the devs, keep up the good work!

Rumor has it that for every ETA you ask, the next ROM release gets pushed back for three days.

Be patient, I'm sure any dev wouldn't care at all if you're impatient, remember, the guy's doing this on his spare time. And he's not getting paid for it. Adding to that, he has a family and job. The update will be on the OP, check back in a few days.
