those nverted themes were no good. every single last one of them made my fone crash badly. system UI has stopped working, phone has stopped working, phone has stopped working, phone has stopped working, phone has stopped working, phone has stopped working, system UI has stopped working, messaging has stopped working......... it just wouldnt stop :(

Try underclocking it! It worked for me. No reboots since.

Thanks for the effort on this rom. The CM9 alpha10 release is a solid improvement.

Gmail hasn't given me any issues yet with displaying messages. Which was a deal-breaker previously.

Also FWIW, I can sync my corporate Exchange account in CM9 with no problem. Couldn't get it connected on CM7. Could be an issue with the mobile device management app my company requires.

it is underclocked and its not a reboot problem. as soon as i turned fone back on before it even gets to the lock screen the errors start and everything stops working.

Hey just a tip on the Gmail problem: i was seeing that issue too (message display problems, blank messages, etc). I went into settings apps, and in Gmail cleared cache. So far so good. Just looking to help out when i can...

A few posts back TDM stated not to use app2sd. I've been using link2sd to transfer apps and it seemed to be working fine, should I not use this either or is it ok?

That works as long as you keep apps in /data/app. But if you boot with /data/app empty (eg. after a wipe), it will mount /sd-ext/app over /data/app and the ext2sd/link2sd scripts will cause issues.

Battery life is exactly what virgin mobile says (8 -10 hours) but on IHO i get 20 hours plus so for me it was a huge change.

I'm getting much better battery life on aokp. Like 30% or more remaining after a 16 hour day.

Quick question, so by wiping before flash, CM9 will set up a sd-ext partition for me? I usec Leslies wiper by the way. I was looking into setting it up (complicated for me), but if it's done already, sweet!

The themes that I applied thanks to sting drop worked great on cm9 thanks !
Just a thought... you should start a thread with your findings, cm9 themes, hopefully people will add to the themes! :)

No, it won't partition your card. But it will use the partition if you have it.

Depending on the recovery it may have the option to partition your card but this may also erase your card so you would need to backup everything to your pc first.

I was also getting about the same battery as tdm with the same clock speeds, my wifi started to randomly disconnect though and I had to restore a backup, but other than that massive improvement over the last quatrimuss ROM I used

Yes! My recovery gives me the option to partition. So I should nandroid back up, then backup my sd on my computer. Format my card, then select partition sd? Or is there more to it? Ive read through posts trying to put the process together. I am not familiar w moving files and such, however.
