[ROM] Android Open Kang Project

b28 with francos 98 is very smooth. i overclocked to 1344, it's almost as snappy as axiom. might give trinity a try out tomorrow.

i'm a simple man, with simple needs. jk but it's nice to get back to an aokp build.

I installed M4 a couple days ago and everything seemed to be working fine except gmail sync didn't work. Last night I updated to build 28. Before flashing the latest gapps I wiped the cache and the dalvik cache (as recommended earlier in this thread). It didn't change anything and I still can't get gmail sync to work. All my other accounts sync fine, it's just gmail.

Any ideas?

You have "email" checked off for the gmail account in Settings-Accounts and Sync - i assume?

I havent seen this issue before, have you tried clearing data in Settings-Apps-Gmail App?

Have you tried other roms aside from aokp to see if it works on them?

Clearing data for GMail had no effect. I think there may be problems syncing with other Google products as well. There were some error messages in logcat about bookmark sync and Google Talk can't connect

E/GTalkService(361): connectionClosed: no XMPPConnection - That's strange!

Watching logcat sometimes shows TONS of out of memory and GCs. Seems to be mostly related to the MediaScanner. When this happens the phone gets slow and hot and the battery level drops really fast.

I was on the leaked 4.0.4 ROM before trying AOKP. That was working pretty well so I think I'll restore my nandroid backup and make sure things still work on that ROM.

Flashed B28 and not experiencing any lags. No wipe coming from M4. Using LK 2.6 Exp Build 8 w/ Lean tweaks 12.2.

Can someone confirm to me that it's not possible to run AOKP with the 4.0.4 radios...I assumed since it's based & ran on 4.0.3 then it would only bootloop if the 4.0.4 radios were flashed.

You can use the 4.0.4 radios with AOKP without any issues.

I am still rocking the M4 release and haven't had any problems with it at all. Decent battery life. Should I wait for the M5 release that has the 4.0.4 base or go ahead and download the B32? Help me decide....

M5 will most likely be what B32 is now if there are no bugs found. Either way you can dirty flash M5 right over B32.. so might as well flash B32 now.

I've been running 32 for the last 24 hours and haven't found any bugs and everthing is fast, smooth and good battery life I would recommend trying.

Should I switch from PZ M1 to 32, at least temporarily? Thoughts?
