[ROM] Android Open Kang Project

@MRW just make a backup and give 38 a try if you find issues just revert back to m5. I haven't seen any bugs yet but it's still early.

Okay. Before I flash it, is there a reason the .zip file for B38 is so small? It's only showing as about 7KB... Did it not download correctly, or is it supposed to be that small? Are we supposed to flash every Bxx update in between in order to get all the updates/ changes? Or can I just go from M5 to B38?

Edit: Oh, nevermind, tried downloading from mirror 2 and it's downloading a bigger (135MB) file now. Guess either the download from mirror 1 is messed up, or my computer just didn't download it right for whatever reason.

It's the franco app. I had the same issue - very dim purple. Uninstalled the app then reinstalled it, now it is fine.

How much better is Franco's over what AOKP ships with, seriously? Been considering flashing francos but if the difference in minor then I dont care to mess with the kernel right now.

i restored to a previous backup of franco in titanium and it worked thanks for your help though! i would recommend everyone making a backup of franco in titanium before updating it

I have no idea. All I use is franco. He is fixing the app issue btw.

I'm pretty sure I get better battery life using Franco's kernel versus any other kernel I've tried, I wouldn't say I get hours more but it does help. Also everything runs smooth as butter and haven;t had any issues to speak of.

ok thanks. to keep it on the subject of AOKP, when you install francos you cant adjust anything in Performance under "rom control" anymore right? it all comes from francos app after that?

Franco provides to most stability and battery life for me. By far. I just realized too, that if you do not flash google apps your WiFi and Signal indicators will not turn blue.

I flashed Google apps and my signal and wifi are grey but I kinda like that look.

@Poseign - I don't play around with the voltage so I can't help you there sorry.

I have noticed that my Gmail is getting pushed so I'm going to clear cache and data and hopefully that will fix it.
edit - clear data/cache didn't work so I'm going to flash gapps again and see if that works.
Cleared cache in recovery and re-flashed gapps and it worked :)

Go to account. Check Gmail. New GAPPS doesn't automatically sync. Cmon Larry!

NOO!!!

Temple Run will not work off of the old app data from my TiBu backup! If i delete the data it works fine. That may just be enough to flash back to b37 for me, I have so much blood and sweat devoted to that game from my long hours of boredum...

EDIT: Deleting app data and cache apparently didnt delete my progres, so it must be saved on a server somewhere in the cloud? I guess im not complaining.

This thread should be a sticky.....screw it, I am flashing this while at work....need some good mojo for my devils tonight!

So on this build it says my Nexus isnt compatible with current version of google+....

"Dirty flashed" B38. At first, ROM control kept FCing when I tried messing around with the navbar stuff, but after a reboot, it seems to be working okay now. Just wish I could find a good icon for it; not a fan of the unicorn icon, but I can't really find anything else that looks good.

Oh, and the Franco app was causing me to have that dark purple screen, too. Uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled, and it seemed fine. When I rebooted to fix the FCing, though, the screen went dark purple again, so I guess I have to keep it uninstalled until an update comes out. :/

Make sure you set up the gamma and color stuff. That will fix it.
