[ROM][AOSP][10/31][JB] Bugless Beast VZW Galaxy Nexus

Do you have to wipe everything before you update to a new version of Bugless Beast? I'm currently running 1/13 and I don't want to have to erase everything on my phone to update to 1/18...

I have some lag on the keyboard and read on the forums for Bugless Beast that some are reporting that they have no more keyboard lag on 1/18 that was present on 1/13.

I've been wiping dalvik, cache, and system. Been running fine thus far, keyboard seems more snappy than previous versions.

I've just been wiping Dalvik. The keyboard is working the same (great) for me, but I'm using Swype.

Yeah i just wipe Dalvik unless Pete specifically says to wipe eveything.
Generally speaking though, small incremental updates of the same ROM won't require a full wipe.

You usually only need the full wipe if you are going to a different ROM or the update includes a major jump in versions of Android. But, as always, it's good to listen to the dev because sometimes certain features in the new update will require a full wipe, Facebook Sync comes to mind specifically and sometimes Google Wallet.

If you do have issues with a ROM, usually it's a good idea to just try a full wipe when re-flashing it before reporting problems. Most devs won't troubleshoot problems until a full wipe is done, just to make sure other factors that could be contributing to the problem are ruled out.

I'm a little sad, there's not more sound on keyboard press. I liked the sound feedback rather than the vibrate feedback.

It sounds like Bugless Beast is running nicely. I have used past iterations on other phones and just finally got around to unlocking and rooting my Nexus (got it on day launch day). So many ROM's it has been hard to decide.

Has anyone here used the modified version of this Rom its called "Bugless Beast Remix"?
It is basically the same Rom as devoloper states and gives all proper credits to .He's just added in some modifications to it.
Im thinking of trying it out when the new update is released for it ,,but just curious as to if anyone already has here.

Does anyone else not have any like system sounds? I don't have anymore lock screen sound, keyboard touch sounds, or touch sounds (like when you just touch something on the screen).

those can all be enabled/disabled in the settings. check to make sure they are enabled

Also have you checked your sound volume ?

Settings>language and input>android keyboard>advance settings>key press sound volume settings.

My bad guys... I reflashed 1/18 and I wiped cache and dalvik and everything is working fine again.... Stupid mistake.

What's new with 1/22? Anyone flash it yet? Notice any differences?

The only thing I noticed so far was Google + wasn't installed by default on this version.Haven't explored it a lot yet watching the football game :)

Installed 1/22 yesterday before I went to bed. This morning I had a random reboot when I turned my alarm off. Everything else seems normal. Make of it what you will.

Since installing the 1-22, I've had the camera app force close and pop up with an error at least 3 times. Happened again this morning. Haven't installed any new apps since flashing it, may go back to 1-18.

Edit: I did a quick Google search and it looks like it could be the latest Franco kernel causing the camera error, time for some more research.

Battery life on Bugless Beast, but using Lou's Defiant v2 kernel. Pretty damn great, if I do say so myself... :D

With 4g?

Can you give us some numbers and usage patterns?

I'm contemplating the Nexus LTE but close to going to dark side because I haven't found a phone with decent battery life.

Wish tegra 3, Krait, omap5 and Exynos 5250 were out so we could compare.

installed the new rom. From 1/18. Installed 1/22. The rom, made me do a compete data wipe. That sucked because I wasn't expecting it and lost all my settings.
