Try franco's latest kernel. r246. It has WiFi patches.

And honestly, it sounds like it's either your device or networks. I've never had an issue with WiFi.

Yeah r246 has better wifi than stock but really the stock one has hardly given me any trouble.

When I have seen a problem its been the fact that my router's channels were too close to another one near by. Phones just seem to be less forgiving than computers when it comes to negotiating that stuff

I've never had a wifi issue either. Since December I've always enjoyed wifi at home.

There were no issues with wifi on Deeper Chocolate 4.1.1 Buglessbeast has an issue. I jumped back and forth between the two for several hours before sticking with Buglessbeast. I brought it up because I recall a wifi issue fix in the latest release of Buglessbeast mentioned on twitter. I don't know what the previous wifi issue was. I only know what I'm experiencing.

The latest ROM is from Aug 7. Your experiences in July may not be the same.

For those wondering about the new radios, Pete says you can flash them and I've been running them since this am without issues. There is a thread on XDA...

Of course you can flash them, they literally have no affect upon the rom .

We've also had them in our radios thread since they came out .

No, I mean I've been running every new version he has come out with since July (currently running the 8/7 build) and I have never had any WiFi issues.

not JRO03O, but he said he wouldn't be including those changes until they hit AOSP. The radio is good to install though. I haven't seen any specific changes in JRO03O that aren't the radios but it's also not an official release.

For the VZW model it looks like it's just some bluetooth changes and native emoji support.
Pete is rocking the GSM version now since he took at job at TMO. The other changes seem specific to the GSM model.

And before anyone thinks that means he'll stop supporting BB for the VZW GNex, it doesn't. He's got a proven track record supporting devices he doesn't have and/or doesn't use anymore. No worries on my part about that.

Does anyone have problems sending MMS? About 50% of the time mine don't/won't send no matter how good of a signal I have. Not sure if its related to the ROM or not.

I'm on the July 14th build and its otherwise running so well I hate to take a chance an update to the 9/7

I've had occasional MMS problems. I imagine a clean install would clear it up, but I don't run into it as often so I haven't bothered yet.

I installed the 7/14 ROM after a complete wipe. I understand its generally ok to flash a new one dirty as long as you did a clean install originally. I can just put the 9/7 zip onto the phone and then install the zip from recovery? Do I need to update anything else?

I'm installing this ROM for the first time, coming from Euroskank, so I know I need to do a full wipe. from reading through the last few pages of this thread, I'm a little confused as to whether I need to also flash a separate gapps, or are all the gapps already in the main toro download?
