OK may have to give it a test drive I've been happy with aokp so far

I started with a test drive and it quickly turned into my daily driver. Very smooth and fast with some cool options I would highly recommend.

i honestly dont notice a difference in any of these roms, just a few random "mods", that really dont change much for me.

I'm going to have to agree with you here.

Re: [ROM][AOSP][4.0.3] Codename Android 1.1.1 [Full Open Source]

Having problems. Everything was great when I first loaded and restored from Titanium. A couple of reboots, playing around, locking/unlocking the screen, beautiful. FAST!

Then I started playing with a bunch of the Codename settings. Activated Light Flow, added apps to the lock screen, etc. Now I get an instant reboot whenever I touch the lock symbol on the lock screen. I'm locked out!

Can I just reflash the ROM over the existing one? Do I still need to clear everything? Maybe I can just wipe cache without having to do a factory reset? My first ROM here, would love some help.

UPDATE: I got back in. When the phone rebooted I held all three buttons (trying to get into Recovery) and it put me into Safe Mode (didn't know there was such a thing!) Anyhow, in safe mode I was able to access the settings and put the lock screen back to stock. No problems now. So maybe there is something wrong with the lockscreen customization?

My Wife's phone is doing exactly what you describe here in your post. It was running fine then this morning each time she tries to unlock the phone it immediately shows the boot animation for a few mins, then goes back to the lock screen. She's tried pulling the battery and it didn't help. I had her boot into recovery and wipe cache/dalvik cache which also made no difference. She also has Light Flow installed but did not make any changes to the lock screen. How did you get booted into Safe mode? Any other suggestions?

Running Codename 1.1.4 with Imo's 1.7.1 leankernal and leantweaks v5
It was running fine before this issue.

Just from what I seen pulling apart the framework & systemui when I themed CodeNameAndroid its a nice mix and match of AOKP/CM & various other tweaks thrown into one package.

From what I've read there is a update coming soon, not sure if it will address the lockscreen issue but hopefully it does.

This Rom by far is the best one for the Nexus that is the only thing wrong with the Rom Ive noticed

You get into safe mode by holding the volume down key when the Google screen is displayed on a reboot. Hold that key until "Safe Mode" appears on the screen. It may take a while.

Safe mode is supposed to disable all downloaded apps so you can see if an app is causing a problem. I would expect that if the problem is strictly with the ROM this wouldn't solve anything. So my guess is that an app was conflicting with the lock screen customization to cause the problem. Could be Light Flow, I guess, since we both have that. But it might make more sense if it was an app tied to that customization. I think had the lock screen shortcuts set to GoSMS, camera, silence, phone, ICS Browser +, and I can't remember the others.

Anyone else having problems with the lock screen customization?

UPDATE: Did some quick testing. I now have the 6 lock screen icons working. GoSMS, ICS Browser +, silence, camera, and phone. No issues. I might try some more options later to see if I can track down the problem.

By the way, I love these customizations. Only thing that would make them better is if I could customize the icons. Or at least have an icon pack that would include things like a browser icon, put a camera or SMS icon in one of the diagonal positions, etc.

lindsey328, did you happen to have the Light Flow app installed as well? I'm wondering if this app is causing the issue or if it's when you change the lock screen option within the Codename ROM. When I had her uninstall the Light Flow app and reboot, it's working fine again.

My wife and I both have the Nexus, and I rooted them both yesterday the exact same way on each. Of course she has different apps on hers, and after reading your post I asked her if she installed Light Flow last night and she did. I don't have it installed and I haven't had any issues (yet) even thos we both have the custom lock screen setup with 6 icons. So I'm thinking it just may have been a conflict with the Light Flow app.

And I agree, I wish I could customize the icons and the lock screen to my liking.

after removing Light Flow Lock screen does not crash How ever the settings in this feature do not hold as far as choosing an app.

I came across this bug this morning. I was able to get past the lock screen by sending myself an email. This popped up the email notification. I went into gmail and hit the home key. That got me past the lock screen where I was then able to switch it back to stock for the time being.

Update:
The icons do not change setting do hold
As far as Light Flow when you activate in acceblity
then it breaks the lock screen.

re: [ROM][AOSP][4.0.3] Codename Android 1.2.0 [Full Open Source]

Has anyone come into this problem. When I installed Flashlight by INTELLECTUAL FLAME CO., LTD. and Craigslist by DUDU APPS I noticed that my bluetooth stopped working. I uninstalled those apps and it started to work again. Not to sure witch one was causing the problem exactly tho. Weired. Just any FYI

re: [ROM][AOSP][4.0.3] Codename Android 1.2.0 [Full Open Source]

My phone a few times as rebooted and come up as time to activate your phone.
All apps, settings etc are still there though.

With the lock screen, it seems as though we are extremely limited to what apps we can include in the circle when unlocking.
For instance, why can't I choose to unlock and go to G+ or FB, or to a certain gallery, etc.

Anyone else notice this?
