[ROM][AOSP][4.0.3] Codename Android 1.5.5 [Full Open Source]

I would def try that....and CNA has an LTE toggle built in if you're just looking for a simple switch.

I tried starting over, and I did a reboot before flashing my additional stuff (BAMF LTE toggle and Backdrop). Some things got better (no more force close on ICS Browser +) others didn't (torch is now LESS reliable for me, getting a System UI FC every now and then). I think I'm going back to 1.4. Too bad since I am interested in the Fast Charge mod. Maybe I can flash that independently.

Also, I'll say although I love this ROM I am getting a little frustrated with the included stuff changing with each new release. Why was Car Home left out of 1.5? I use that every day and I cannot download it from the market (says it is not compatible with GNex). Anyone know where I can get it?

I use the BAMF LTE toggle because it can be called from Tasker. So I have Tasker switch to 4G whenever my screen is on, back to 3G when the screen is off.

EDIT: FYI, I found where to get Car Home (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1513396&highlight=car), but I haven't tested it. For now I am sticking with 1.4 and I will try franco's kernel to get USB fast charge.

anyone having issues with the toggle lockscreen in the notification widget? It seems to work for a short while then for some reason doesn't work at all.

Anyone else have issues with Lite Flow not working right with Handcent after installing 1.5?

Sorry for my ignorance, but I'm trying to figure out how to install Codename Android Rom then Gapps through Rom Manager - > Download Rom? When I install CM9 it gives option to install Gapps with it.

I got some sort of "sleep of death" with CNA 1.5.0 this afternoon. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? (It also happened twice on CM9 a couple nights ago.) I haven't had this issue on 4.0.2/4.0.4 stock. Any thoughts? Thanks!

You can do it in rom manager, but it's not recommended. If you decide to go that route, you want to install gapps as well - those are the google apps, and you will need them to feel like you are using a normal android device ;)

You should read this: http://forums.androidcentral.com/ve...backup-restore-install-roms-galaxy-nexus.html

It will tell you everything you need to know about correctly and safely making backups, flashing roms, and so on, and will keep you from having (at least) buggy rom experiences, or worse.

GL, feel free to post any questions you have about that stuff in the [guide] thread.

Think you for your response. I've been using Rom Manager for my old sucky CliqXT to install CM7 + Google Apps. I want to know how to install Codename Rom+ Google Apps. I went through Clockwork Recovery the first time. If that's how I should continue to do that, I'm fine. I included a snapshot to make it more clear.

I highly suggest getting Touch Rom Manager, it makes this soooo easy.

Download both codename 1.5 and GAPPS and add them to the general directory to your phone (just easier but you can add it to any directory)

in Rom Manager
Click Flash ClockworkMod Touch

Click Reboot to Recovery

Click to clean out your data/cache

Click advanced
Clean out the Dalvik

install Codename Rom

Install Gapps

Reboot

let things run (sign in blah blah blah)

Generally you will want to reboot the phone again, don't be afraid to do it while your 100+ apps are downloading from the market.

These are the high level steps, sorry it's not exactly step by step like "hit go back" while in recovery but you are smart and should be able to handle it.

Again, Touch is great and if you are flashing roms I highly suggest dropping the cost of coffee to buy it.

This update has been working flawless for me. Thanks for all the hard work put into it!

@jharo - there is a setting in liteflow called "alternate on and off monitoring" make sure they are both checked...

Yeah read the guide by cyber warrior - you want to dl the files straight to phone or cpu, not with rom manager jsut from the threads, and then install in clockworkmod recovery after doing a clean install (wiping data, cache, dalvik, and format system) -- this way you can avoid 99.9 percent of the problems you will ever encounter flashing roms

I've had this happen 3 times in the last week, each time I had to do a batt pull. Not sure yet what is causing this, just happens. One of the times it froze while I was using it.

Just updated to 1.5. Cannot find how to change the number of homescreen targets. I like to remove the google search bar and replace it with the ability to add more icons on home screen. This was easy before but now i cant find the option to add the room. HELP!!

Thats not the setting im looking for. Thats just the number of homescreens. The setting im looking for is the one that allows you to put apps or widgets on top of the spot that the google search bar was in.

I was having some freezing issues with 1.5 over the weekend. I had force_fast_charge enabled each time. I left it disabled after my last battery pull on Saturday and haven't had a crash since. ./shrug
