[ROM][AOSP][4.0.3] Codename Android 1.5.5 [Full Open Source]

4.0.4 radios are the way to go.. I've had them since they leaked, connection is stronger and 4G to 3G handoff is handled better/quicker. Not life-changing, mind you, but noticeably better :)

Are they flashed just like a kernel?

Loaded the 4.0.4 radio, so far so good!

Just got 1.5.0 but the Movie Studio app is missing. I use it a lot I can't even find it in the market. Anybody else having this issue. Edit: reflashed Gapps andAll good now

where are they posted again?
I think the ones I had before were the problem.....
I am taking baby steps this time and holding off on a custom rom....
with 4.02 stock, rooted, signal is better then when I was on 1.4 with 4.04 radios...but I have to reboot when I lose 4g in my office.

I wasn't planning to flash until this was updated to AOSP 4.0.4 but this looks like a lot of fixes, so I think I'm going to do it.

OP has been updated with 1.5.0 :)

Wipe is required when flashing to 1.5.0

The flashing instructions in the OP have a little note that flashing GApps is only necessary for 1.2 and older. I assume this is incorrect and still left over from 1.3. Might want to change that so people aren't confused.

I had some problems with 1.5. I didn't have a lot of the GApps (wallet, youtube, etc.) and I had problems restoring from my backups (both Titanium and Backdrop Root). So I had to restore from Nandroid, first time I've had to do that. Anyone else have issues?

Yes, I did a full wipe before flashing.

Did you factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik?

Did you flash GAPPs separately after flashing the ROM?

Yes.

Nandroid
factory reset (in recovery)
wipe cache
wipe dalvik
flash ROM
flash GApps
flash BAMF LTE toggle
flash Backdrop Root
reboot

Maybe I should try doing a reboot before flashing the additional zips?

Not sure about the backup problems, but I don't think YouTube, maps, Google+ (probably others) are included in the current gapps. I had to download them from the Market when I flashed 1.5.

The current gapps pack does not include region-sensitive gapps or many which can be downloaded from the market, goo-inside policy to lighten the size.

Has anyone loaded 1.5? Wanted to know how it's been....

Running great for me. I was on 1.4.0 and that was the best ROM I've ever flashed on the phone. I only had this for a day, so I can't say it's better at this point, but it's at least the same.

Running perfect here. Torch is working for me now. Need some time to see about battery life but so far so good. Loving it.

I would def try that....and CNA has an LTE toggle built in if you're just looking for a simple switch.
