[RoM] AOSP 4.0.3 - updated 02/11

Can anyone give a little detailed review of V7? Is the colors on the screen no longer washed out? battery life?

I was running V6 and with my battery life and colors issue so I went back to V5 which is near perfect.

edit colors with the voodoo app. here are my settings: multipliers red 286xxx, 333xxx, 392xxx and for V1 gamma pick red -26, green -30 and blue -33. i got this settings from an post and they really make a difference!

The colors look better to me in my opinion. Battery life is about 20 hours for me, usually talking for about 100 minutes each charge which is the main battery killer (I'm sure I can run about 25 hours if I didn't use voice calls). GPS issues on V6 are not fixed in V7. I am using SetCPU, 245-1000, ondemand, until Beezy sets them in V7 shortly.

Where can I find v5? I think that was the one when my GPS was working right last. Any pointers appreciated.

Anyone else think the Lloyd better icon looks like a weiner? I can't unsee it so I had to switch to the circle.

I wouldn't let Lloyd hear you say that... :p

so far Im loving V7. I can say I was waiting patiently for it, but i cant say i was tempted to try other roms, but ive had such a good experience with dooder that i dont want to try others.

GPS is working for me perfectly, wifi, 4g, everything works great. Im liking the reboot options, the screen capture feature, the new battery icon options and left side clock. I tried the on-screen buttons and it works great but it makes the screen a bit too small and it looks crowded with the stock buttons lighted up, so i went back to no-on-screen buttons; i do like the fact that i can just tap once to see my most recent apps tho instead of holding home button for a few seconds. Battery life is great, I just got 9 hrs of battery on very heavy use (stock normal kernel, no OC).

Id like to see the silly faces feature fixed on the video camera, every time i try to use this feature the camera closes; also the ability to OC w/o the use of a governor, and maybe a bit more wallpapers or some more live wallpapers wont hurt either :p

Im very pleased with the update and this rom ever since the early versions. I dont see myself going back to stock not even if sprint finally pushes an update. :) thanks for all your effort and development.

For the root and rom noobs, which includes myself:
Installing v7 on top of v6 behaves like an update. It's not a total wipe of your system. Very easy and customizations/settings survive.
Truthfully, I was expecting to have to redownload all my apps and reconfigure accounts, wallpaper, shortcut icons, etc. *None* of that was necessary.

I suspect this is completely obvious to the more experienced, but it was a really nice surprise to me.

You need to look into titanium backup in the market. Trust me. If you've been reloading all your apps/settings manually, you are going to have an orgasm when you see what this app does.

I've been having problems with GPS lately I either have to reboot my phone or toggle GPS of and on, sometimes both. I'm on Version 4 if I update to Version 7 are the GPS issues fixed and also the google calendar?

Will the install to v7 require that I wipe all? I should probably just invest in titanium backup just in case. Any major limitations in the free version?

RbDrdMan,

The GPS locks in as little as 2 seconds and Google Calendar works flawlessly in V7.

Invest in Titanium Backup and do a complete wipe before installing V7. Clear Cache of course.

I don't know what the free version of Titanium has but it's always good to pay for support to the developer. :P

I've seen the option for a "right" clock and a "left" clock but, is there anyway to omit it all together. I have a large clock w/ beautiful widget, so the clock in notification bar is pointless.

Yes, I can do that. I've got another battery mod or two I'd like to post as well later today/tonight.

Edit: Here is a noclock mod with Lloyd battery for now. Ill get the rest up later on.

Nifty battery gauge, jstntp! Is there an option for it with the normal clock position? -M

Of all the rom's I've flashed, I've never flashed one of Beezy's. I think it is way past due...

Hmmm.... Is there a reason that google is not reloading any of my apps? I always choose to have google back up my apps. For some reason this rom is NOT restoring my apps that google has been backing up. Flash clean 3 times now and the same result each time.

While it's the first time in a long time that I had to find, download and install all my apps, It seems to be running smoothly.

I must admit, I normally like all the extra tweaks, bells and whistles. However this rom has a certain charm and functionality to it. I think I may sit a spell.
