[ROM][BETA] Quattrimus ICS (ZVD)

I'm having constant freezing problems I'm hopeing to get some help with. After deleting data, cache, and dalvik caxhe in clockworkmod I installed cm9 mirror 4. It loaded up, but aftetr a few minutes it would freeze and reboot. I then did the samething with aokp mirror 4 and had the same outcome... Help? Yes I have optimus v for VM.

I don't remember, but when I get it built again, it should have everything same as cm9 and aokp.

I'm the same way... I had to go back to cm7.2 YouTube in the browser is uber stable ... is there any way to make video playback like it was on cm7?

As far as functionality, beta2 is pretty close to final. There are a couple issues I'd like to look into but nothing major. And I'm going to get that boot logo contest going for beta3 also.

How hard would it be to make the old one into a live wallpaper? :P

Couple of things.
First I'm on an Ls670 Optimus S running Quattrimus CM9

1. Clock Lag: Seems to do it not matter whether it's set to use network time or not, it does update a bit faster if the network time is turned off. As a workaround, I installed the clock apk from drews CM7? I'll let you know how it works out.

2. GPS antenna, the option is there for me also, and my maps and nav work fine.

3. My best battery life. full two days processor set at Min:122, Max: 748. (Crashes the phone if I set it above 800) CPU Governor Conservative.

I can clock all the way up to 824mhz... that's odd. Although recently my battery has been starting to tank. ;( it charges really hot >100?F andtakes for ever to charge if I'm using it

Is their a flash able script for the SD ext script? I think its messed up the only thing on my ext partition is d cache. all my apps are installed in data/app on the phone and not my memory card

You can take them from the nitestalkrs patch and enable permission for it to run or is your sdcard at least a class 4!

Its class 4 I copied them to the SD ext partition and it worked. Its looking for my apps there but is not installing them in the right spot

from recovery wipe the sdext, dalvik, and cache and then reboot the phone. The card has to to be put in a powered off phone or from recovery in order for everything to move itself properly

i apologize in advance for my maybe stupidity or not reading the other posts properly haha
but i partitioned my sd card, its a class 10, and the new partition is a gig

so do i need to move the apps in question over myself? do i just plop them in there or do i have to make a folder? this is all new to me, and which apps can i move? only the stuff in data?

Ah ok so it moved things but that doesn't show up in titanium huh

Because I did a gig but I didn't see an increase in there

It should show you four lines.
System ROM
Internal
SD card
SD card (a2sd) <- THIS is what you made. Should be around 1 GB (as you described it) and have a fair amount of space free.

hmm i dont have that forth line, when i partitioned my new thing, i allocated the space, made it primary and ext2 and it seemed to work, and there is stuff in the ext2 area, but in titanium backup it doesnt have a forth line

Odd. Not sure why it wouldn't be listed. Any thoughts, folks?

Maybe try using the partition manager in the recovery to partition the card? I tend to have issues when I partition with kubuntus' partition manager.

Just wanted to post and say thanks for this ROM. It has restored my Optimus S to an awesome phone. I was considering upgrading to another phone but having installed this ROM it has saved me in so many ways.

I am having some issues and wondered if anyone has found any fixed.

1) Wifi tethering not working - I tried several wifi tethering apps but no luck
2) Calendar not syncing - when I look in accounts & sync I see "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly" next to the calendar setting

Any help is appreciated and once again thanks for this awesome rom. I'm sure there is more great stuff to come.

Concerning issue #1, I've heard that a lot of people have had a good experience with Barnacle Tether, even though it doesn't work for me personally. (That's my only real complaint with this ROM. I used to use the built-in WiFi Tether quite a bit since my battery drains quite quickly using PDANet's USB Tether).

For issue #2, try turning off Calendar Sync, turning it back on, and then forcing a sync. That method works for me whenever I have a sync failure. However, that issue, for me at least, hasn't been limited to just this ROM. I've seen that issue on Cold-As-Ice, various CM7 ROM's, and stock ZVD as well.

I was able to get the Calendar working. The gapps zip I applied did not install the GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk, Calendar.apk, nor the CalendarProvider.apk. Once I got all three installed the calendar works fine.

Still working on the Wifi issue. Then this phone will once again be my best multi tool

Try wireless tether. Not sure if it's still available on the market. You could probably Google the apk and find it.

That one didn't work for me either but similarly to Barnacle Tether, it seems to work for most people.

I wonder though, is it normal for the channel that your machine sees when using Ad-Hoc WiFi tethering programs to be different from the one you set in the settings of the application? Both my laptop and my router's site survey tools always see these Ad-Hoc mode tether programs as being channel 1 even when I set it to channel 6 or 11.

I don't know about niceguy but my WiFi tethering issue is related to the fact that I can get my laptop to see the network and connect but it never receives an IP address from my phone so the connection attempt times out.

Just as an aside, my phone does connect to WiFi correctly as a client so I'm pretty sure that nothing is wrong with the hardware.
