ROM downloading problem...

im trying to download a custom ROM from ROM manager and it is taking longer than i thought. It will either stop at 1% and one time i got it up to 72% and waited like a half an hour and it did not continue. would there be a reason why? I have Froyo 2.2 on there and the phone is rooted of course. Any suggestions?
 
I never use ROM Manager for downloading or flashing ROM's. I would recommend downloading directly to your computer and then manually placing it on your SD card, then flashing through recovery (which I wouldn't recommend using ROM manager to get to)

I don't download from ROM manager either. I just go to the download page on my phone's web browser and download that way. I don't flash through ROM Manager, either. Honestly in m experience the only thing ROM Manager is good for is upgrading to the latest version of Clockworkmod. Using it for anything other then that just causes too many problems.
 
I download through ROM Manager all the time. I don't flash with it but you might want to clear your browser cache and ROM Manager cache and see if that helps. Could be koush's server or just a glitch in the cache.
 
+1 for downloading straight to your phone from its native browser. Eliminates steps and streamlines the process.

When I download a new CM7 nightly I keep the download screen up and I don't let the screen sleep. Just keep poking it from time to time (that's what she said) to keep it awake and the download only takes a few minutes (on wifi of course)
 
Oh and don't flash through ROM manager, do it manually through recovery.
