EDIT: Also let us know if it helps or not. People are reporting workarounds all the time so it would help if you guys give everyone some feedback too!

a dirty flash a few hours after installing gROM got rid of the laggy-ness for me. doing great now.

could you take out the feature "Ad Blocking"? if you can upload that ROM or is there a way i can safely remove it... please let me know ASAP before i download + install

well basically im doing this for my little cousin and well unfortunately he CHEATS!!! he uses GameCIH and with out ads he wont be able to use the application lol im not doing this for my health xP

There is a thread here (and a few others in the parent section of this forum) about gingerbread issues. It seems the update did more damage than it improved on for most...

Like I said, check the other threads to. As what most of you are experiencing is gingerbread related and not the rom itself causing the issues...

EDIT: However it is important to have this discussion in this thread too. (Just want to make sure that I'm not giving anyone the impression that they shouldn't post in here, etc...)

Most ad-blocking apps modify the hosts file so it redirects to localhost when an IP or a range of IPs are accessed.
Try to use the following thread to find the hosts file and remove the entries added by the blocking script:
Where is the Hosts File in Android? - xda-developers

Good luck.

edit: the only line that it should have is "127.0.0.1 localhost"

Not tested but should work just fine.

Flash in recovery like any other zip.

I've been running Grom since it was available and have only had the problem of a very touchy screen but that was only with ginger kernal. once i did a dirty flash to get back to the stock kernal i havent had any problems at all and i'm very happy with my deciion to update. i just hope we get the ability to oc soon thats really the only thing i miss. great work and thanks to everyone involed on this project. also the themes available are great too so make sure you guys look into those as well.

Really like the rom but I hate the new gb update. Will be coming back to this once gb update is alittle more stable and when am oc'ed kernal becomes available until then reverting back to use drew's cm7..
