hey beezy, thought i'd throw this up there. The boot animation included in 3.6 is awesome but the images are not exactly formatted for our screens. This attached boot animation is formatted for our screens and IMO looks a little better. If you want to try it out for yourself make a backup copy using root explorer of bootanimation.zip in /system/media and replace it with the one i attached. reboot and see if you think it looks better, if you don't you can always replace it with the backup of the original you made. The images are formatted 480x800. Check it out and see what yall think.

Looks nice thank you

like I had mentioned earlier did u do a fresh install & wipe everything? That's what I had to do & I haven't seen it yet...fingers crossed...lol

Mmmm...ice cream....

I was trying to avoid that bkuz i don't wanna have to set up all my icons & widgets again, but I may be forced to lol

Ok. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here but this is LCD density at 215 and it looks different than Battings.

Will try it out right now.

Remember that .zip i posted back around page 70?
That had the galnex bootanimation in it, lol
I don't think you guys seriously took that it was the real Galaxy Nexus bootanimation until after the guy over ad MoDaCo dumped it all. Oh well, lol

I knew it was the real one...

I still think the colors look grainy.

And I had the question, is this meant to be a pure ICS rom or a Galaxy Nexus port? Because I regard the boot animation as separate from stock AOSP, I wouldn't expect to see that boot animation on any other device (though of course you can do it). Do you think the official ICS build for the Nexus S will have its own boot animation? What does the Nexus One boot with on Gingerbread, does it use the Nexus S animation?

Yes, it does.

Flash the above file, no need to wipe unless you really want to. Then download the free version of ROM Toolbox, go to the Performance tab > build.prop tweaks > change LCD Density to 210 (my mistake earlier, I said 215). Reboot.

EDIT: Actually 215 and 210 are pretty similar, I don't notice any differences.

Thank yas!

Np. That launcher is pretty the same as what you'll see on the GNex. App drawer animations, homescreen page overscroll animations, modified search widget at the top, etc. It's pretty much a replica once the density is set at 215/210. May look a tad small, but that's how the GNex looks.

Nice! Not sure how I missed it before. O_o
