[ROM] Incredibly Re-Engineered v2.3 [02-8-11] Fast, Beautiful, and Simply Magnificent

I installed the 2.2 on Sunday night and installed the 2.3 this am. I like this rom but, I am having a problem with the stock email app. I have the Delete email from server option unchecked. I do this because I like to see my email during the day on the Inc but, I like to get it on my desktop PC at home. On my home PC I have the option set to delete email from server. Here is where my problem occurs once I get the email on the home PC (and it is deleted from the server) as soon as the Inc does a refresh it deletes all the email just like it did before the froyo update. Is anyone else having this problem or have a fix?

I have 2.2 so to upgrade to 2.3 do I have to wipe everything and flash or is there a way to update without losing everything.

Im going try tonight or tomorrow ,had 2.2 before but switched back to RR
sent using TaPaTaLk

The way I took it in the instructions here and on the XDA forum is that you do have to do a full wipe so I did just to make sure. ;)

AMAZING rom. I finally decided to root my phone yesterday and this room looked cool, but I had no idea how much happier I'd be with my device afterward.

Anyone know how to get the stock keyboard back? I'm not so sure I like this gingerbread keyboard...

Just uncheck it in settings should do it. BTW I really like it. Has anyone experienced the problem with the email that I posted earlier?

Not sure about email problem because I only use the gmail app.

Very nice update I'm happy to have my news widget back :) This IMO is the best Sense Rom out.

Thanks

Im going to flash 2.3 tonight, I had 2.2 it was ok, but All the mods lock screens etc are just the fing Bomb, Super Job!
I was loosing some interest in flashing customs roms because most of them look very similar, bit with all the optional mod flash's one can really make a very unique custom look.
I cant wait to try it.
Not really sure how to flash any of the optional mods tho
Im going with carbon lock screen, Riptide status bar and 4x5 rosie green,

Im guessing i should put the zip files in my dl folder on my sd card and use rom mgr and choose flash rom from sd card?

thanks
Ken

I have heard all the great comments on this ROM. Ready to pull the trigger on it. I have heard others ask about battery life, but no real solid answers on how this ROM is on the battery? Also, I been using ROM Manager to install my new ROMs, it is easy for dummies like myself. I don't see this ROM in the available list in there unless I am missing something? Could it be under a different name in ROM Manager?

What I do is download the rom on my pc, hook the phone to the pc copy/paste the zipped rom into my download folder on my sd card then start up rom mgr and choose install rom from sd card, nav to your download folder on your sd card click on the the rom you just pasted there, hit go and hold on, you'll be up and running in no time. I have heard this does not work on a mac, no sure tho, I dont have a mac.

The way I do it is:

put zip on SD root
boot into recovery
nandroid
wipe all data/cache (there are two in main menu, and one in advanced)
flash the zip
Done.

:-)

Thanks guys! I will download and flash the old fashion way this afternoon.

Any word on battery life? I guess it can't get any worse than what we already have right?

Currently I am running IncROM v1.2. I like the ROM but the standard font is very thin and sometimes hard to read. Is / are the fonts in this ROM easier to read? I also found the IncROM v1.2 a little sluggish compared to stock.

Just figured out how to get the stock keyboard back.

Flash the "Stock HTC_IME" mod from the second post. Then after reboot long press in a text entry field and select touch input.

Anyone know what IME actually stands for?? LOL

I didn't like the font included with 2.3 so I flashed in a different one. There is a thread on XDA w/ over 300 fonts to choose from. You flash them just like anything else. Easy.

Anyone know what the stock incredible font is called? I wouldn't mind flashing that...
