[ROM] JoeMomROM v1 & Only-Optimus T

Yes, I did have that happen once last night. I hit the lock button on and off a couple of times, and on the third try the screen came up. I haven't been able to reproduce since.

I think it has something to do with the OC'ed kernel used in the rom as this never happened when I was running the stock LG base.

I haven't used setcpu or anything to change my clock speed, unless you meant merely having the OC kernel installed.

I have been able to reproduce it regularly, however. When the phone is locked, just turn the screen on and off over and over by hitting the lock button. It seems like there is a little bit of lag between the screen-on button press and when the screen actually turns on (a fraction of a second), and as you keep doing it the length of the lag barely increases. Then it just doesn't turn on.

Well maybe try a normal kernel since this is a 2.2.1 rom. Joe have you used the normal 2.2 much? Many people say it is a much faster than the "updated" .1 one. Does anyone know what was in that update anyways besides gmail?

I think the only thing added was wifi calling, unfortunately, I'm not sure I have a full dump of 2.2 to work from.

I think they also fixed a bug with unmounting SD cards (according to the Prime ROM thread on XDA, anyway).

I'm looking forward to trying your new rom Joe.

I would try the older version but it will not let me download it because

it says you are have to much traffic on the download page. So hopefully this

will not be s problem for the new version. Thanks for all your hard work on this

rom.

Could someone tell me how to get rid of the Tmobile APN, I am not on their network and it messes with my MMS?

If I'm correct, there should be a few APN apps on the market. Another thought would be to flash a non-T-Mobile Rom like the Megatron-v1... which of course I am using flawlessly. Don't forget to pickup SetCPU to underclock the phone back to 600 mHz.

Thanks for the advice, done. One question I have and it has happened with any of the ROMS is there is a nice wallpaper when the phone boots but if I go to wallpapers, there are only two, a black one and a colour one, but not the one that is already on the wallpaper?

I actually never use stock wallpapers. I'm currently using Zedge from the Market to find my wallpapers and it's also good for finding some unique ringtones/notification sounds. I'm also using Open Home Full for that little extra kick.

so... is it just my phone or is everyone elses text black on the status bar? i cant figure out how to change it. and if its not just me, will it be fixed soon, this is by far the best rom ive found yet but i use void instead because of the whole black text issue. please let me know. Thanks a ton

okay, newbie. Rooted Optimus T phone, backed up all data/apps using Backup Everything. Then, dl'd "bareopt...", "flash_image",and "opt-t-test". Tried "JoeMomRom" as well following same procedure to be sure.

Get the # , goes through till:
mv /system/etc/install-recovery.sh /system/etc/install-recovery.sh.bak (not found)

no biggie.. tried the mm (create stock recovery thing) and says "read only" cannot create.

So I proceed anyway. error no memory available (about 60 times in a row)

Go delete some junk, still not enough free space.. cant free more than 26mb open running basic stuff on system. cache to sd, using root uninstall and getting rid of everything I know wont crash the o/s.

Says no recovery.sh... scared to move forward. Did I miss something or do I have a bunch of crap I don't know how to spot.

Tried with all the above still zipped and unzipped on sd main.

I don't have the recovery or I am not naming it right. I understand that I am to follow the "S" instructions and then use one of Joe's builds still zipped on sd card, correct?
