Re: [ROM][PORT][JB][07/30/12]CyanogenMod 10 [Alpha 3]

Can anyone give me short steps to get a logcat, I would love to help with the small issues.

Thanks in advance

Re: [ROM][PORT][JB][07/30/12]CyanogenMod 10 [Alpha 3]

How do I install it?

Make sure you've enabled on USB debugging on your phone in Settings -> Application -> Development
2. Get the Android SDK here: Android SDK | Android Developers
Extract the SDK to any folder say C:\Android
Make sure that you have installed the drivers for your phone and the operating system recognizes your phone.

Everything installed? Continuing...

Now how to actually access the log, everything in italic are commands you need to enter.

Open the 'run' dialog by pressing the 'Windows' + 'r' buttons on your keyboard (minimize the browser & other non-windows programs)
cmd (this will open a DOS prompt)
cd c:\Android\tools (go to the directory where you extracted the SDK)
adb shell
Now you'll see just a '$'
logcat

not as easy as it sounds. good luck

Re: [ROM][PORT][JB][07/30/12]CyanogenMod 10 [Alpha 3]

if the phone is hard bricked the only thing to fix it is hardware. It makes sense, soft brick software(odin) Tell them whatever you want but the fact of the matter is, its ed. Same thing happened to my mesmerize(apparantly) no fixing it, just pay the insurance deductible and get a new one so much less hassle.

How's progress on alpha 4 dark? You figure out a fix for sounds or YouTube yet??

Awesome got it working, now i just need to move from alpha 2 to 3

Damn I just setup Alpha 3. This is some exciting stuff. So I can flash Alpha 4 over 3 or do I need to do the whole el26 flash, wipe procedure?

Please do a full wipe with el26 kernel and cwm5 recovery. I want to make sure any issue users are having are legit issues and not ghost data issues. Once i get to Beta then I wont have users do a full wipe.

Ok not a problem. Your hardwork is much appreciated. What was changed or fixed in the Alpha 4 build?

Re: [ROM][PORT][JB][07/29/12]CyanogenMod 10 [Alpha 4]

Can anyone confirm that 4G wireless tethering works? I'm unfortunately limited to tethering for internet access the next few days. I know this isn't a huge issue and is probably near the bottom of a long laundry list if it is borked... But if it happens to work i'm gonna flash this beast!
