[ROM+Kernel] Inferior Human Organs unofficial CM7.1

I like the CyanogenMod-7-03012011-Nightly-thunderc-virginmobile-Xonia,even though it is a little dated run's good has a few minor flaws but everything works pretty good has its own built in themes and is nice cuz it comes with the parts to fine tune. Very good rom the guy are gurl who made this should keep building on this and make it 2.3.7 instead of 2.3.3. But other than the dialer being a little funky best rom vote.

That is really dated, by over a year the IHO CM7 roms that are out now are more sable, and most work well with the zv9 radio update Virgin released about 3 mouths ago.

Did a fresh install to Backside, followed the instructions on the first page, wiped everything 3 times even but I cant connect to wifi. I searched this forum and tried the suggestions of broadcasting the ssid, rebooting the router, turning airplane mode on and off and forgetting and re-adding the network to no avail.

Previously I was using an optimus s rom with an ov script and wifi worked fine with hidden ssid and wpa2. I noticed in this rom's network the password needs to be at least 8 characters, so I changed that but I found it odd it doesnt ask for a wpa key like the previous rom.

When I enable wifi it authenticates, says its remembered but then disconnects and resolves to disabled. WiFi Analyzer sees my network signal fine.

Any help would be appreciated!

Try using Mirage. Its currently more up to date and has.no wifi issues.some people have that problem with wifi on Backside.

Hi, sorry if this question has been asked before, but I couldn't find the answer. I installed the mirage flash, latest build. But, any time I try to download an app from Google Play I get a message stating there is insufficient space, even though there's plenty of internal and external storage.

Thank you for the help.

Uncalled for man. I used backside from when jerry unveiled to the time I got my evo 3d, and never had a single problem. Better do a better flash cause plenty of people had the same result as me.

i dont know what your problem was with backside. it was one of my favorite for a long time and had very few issues with it. its FAR from unstable. the only issue i know of that causes frustration on the the latest backside is the ICS rotation animations can freeze up the screen but if you disable it shes rock solid and has the most customization options of all the iho roms. also.... haveing other roms on your sdcard wont hurt your phone at all wether new or old. i have a folder dedicated to just roms. on top of that your recomending ICS over Gingerbread... dont get me wrong i love ICS and the roms we have now are shaping up really nicely but they are nowhere near as refined or stable as the IHO gingerbread roms.

Backside was my mainstay for a long long time, until tdm came out with quattrimus and I started re-developing bumblebee.

Bobzhome is one of the best creaters of roms ive seen so far. Backside iho is way to green and it made my phone shut off and stall ten times when i flashed it. I flashed it 3 times and still didt work. Bobzhome takes pride in his themes and fixes everything that is wrong with them he has an ics theme out too so all in all i think he's good. Backside was kool but had way to many mistakes.

You must be doing something wrong then. I already stated in my last post one problem. That could cause freeze ups. Are you on zv9 baseband? If you are that would explain the reboots since the last backside was released before the new kernel source. Bobzhome does make some excellent roms but so does Jerry and I'm not the only one who thinks so.

BACKside roms have been great for me from the beginning. I did disable ICS screen rotations because of screen freeze, but that's a known issue. That is the one and only issue I have ever had with any version of BACKside I've used. I'll be sticking with BACKside even if it is dated as long as it continues to work well on my Optimus V.

That's what the cm7 theme Chooser is for just search cm7 or cm9 themes on play store I'm sure you can find a nice red one you'll like. If you like bobz rom and its working good for you no need to change really. I just don't like to see a rom I know is a good one be put down. Jerry put a lot of work into his roms and was making new builds almost weekly till recently and there isn't another cm7 rom for our phones with as much custom theme options built in.

I've been using jerryscripts backside I.h.o. for almost a year and I have not had one problem. As for ur red theme idea, if u use the rom I just mentioned it comes with the t mobile theme Chooser. U can completely theme ur phone in red, or any color for that matter. And its free. I've used all red many times but am currently using an all white theme. Very VERY reliable rom. Especially for my first custom rom install.

Thank you for explaining the crash issue, I was wondering what was the cause and now I know. :)

Would you happen to have the links to the jerryscript ROMs?

It's at the bottom of the 2nd post in this thread I just checked it still works. If your on zv9 just flash bobz v4 kernel or mirage kernel I think a link to mirage kernel can be found in his rom thread
