[Rom] Myn's Warm Z TwoPointTwo is now available!

Warm RLS5 is working brilliantly for me so I think I'm going to wait for Warm Z RLS2 which should fix most of the issues with RLS1.

I LOVE Myn's work but don't want to be a beta tester which is inevitable with practically all 1.0 releases of any product.

I've been running Warm Z for a couple of days now and really like it, Sense 2.0 has a lot of cool, subtle little things (can't believe how well DNLA works with my Windows Home Server!).

Someone mentioned they hate having two clocks, be sure to check out tommytomatoe's mods for Warm Z, I'm using the one with the circle battery meter and no Android system clock in the notification bar, awesome.

I hope 4G comes soon but I can always switch back to Warm 2.2 RLS 5 if I want it sooner; frankly even though I live in downtown Chicago in the heart of a 4G area, WiMAX has always been very hit or miss for me, it doesn't penetrate buildings well and 3G is just so much more reliable (and usually fast enough).

okay i take that back now.. its force closing every 3 seconds .. next rom

Ok- I was up most of the night last night- doing all my research on Rooting, ROMs, etc. I ended up rooting- using Autoroot- and my Evo rooted flawless. I then added this ROM and the Sense 2.0 is so cool. Now- I'm wanting to overclock/undervolt, etc. I'm assuming that I can't with the Kernel i'm using- because the highest the clock would go was 998.4mhz. The benchmarks are horrible. Does anyone know of a Kernel that will work with this ROM and will allow me to overclock?

I was happy before- and since I rooted- it's like an addiction!

Who would ever though a phone could be this much fun!

Yeah I'm pretty sure you can't OC the stock HTC kernels. Check the Warm Z thread over at XDA and I guarantee they will be talking alternative kernels. You should be able to find what other people are using and their luck with them.

Man, that so describes me! LOL I can't tell you how many hours of sleep I've lost flashing different ROMS and kernels.:)

I had been debating on rooting or not- I did all me research...made sure I knew what I was doing before I did it (I'm not one that just pushes a button without knowing what it does) It went flawless.

I was up all night- went to bed at 5am. Woke up at 7. Wife was pissed at me. lol

Yes I am, both the CFS and BFS Havs work petty good on Warm Z. I switched to the BFS HAVS because Ziggy noted bfs if working better with the new Sense and cfs is better on the old Sense. So far I've had 0 issues...great battery life and performance, especially now it's settling in.

I'm using Ziggys Beta Kernel EVO CFS HAVS 21 Jan 11...I have it overclocked and no issues so far. You can grab it here: Beta Kernel 21 Jan 11

Just flashed this Kernel (ztest-BRAVO-BFS-012111) and now I'm stuck on the htc evo 4g white screen. I wiped cache and dalvik prior to flashing. Any ideas?

Update: DOH! Guess I need the one for the EVO and not the BRAVO. Jeez! Retrying...

has anyone else had constant voicemail notifications and no voicemails? i swear it asks me to check it all the time and i never have anything. its annoying to have to clear the voicemail notification so often

I've been using Google Voice for my VM and have had no issues. Might want to consider switching. There's lots of other goodies you get from it as well. It's so much more than just a VM servie.

Were you able to get the right one installed?

Sure did. Haven't had much time to poke around with it though. Got it OC'd to 1.113 GHz! Battery seemed to stay in the upper %'s throuhgout the morning. It's been off the charger for 3h 41m and I'm at 59%. Not sure if this will get me through the day or not. I am noticing considerable improvemnts in the screen scrolling. Much smoother with this Kernel. BTW, I pulled the ztest-EVO-CFS-HAVS-012111.zip Kernel. The battery life doesn't seem to be much improved, but I'll take the OC'ing and scrolling improvements! Might try out the BFS Kernel to see if I get better battery, but I'm gonna run with this CFS Kernel for a few days.

Thanks for the link to the Kernel's!

what else do you get from google voice? ive never really paid it much attention

You get a local # that you can use for business, pleasure, whatever. You can set it up to ring on your mobile phone. You can also setup all your other phones (home, work, etc...) to forward to the GV number and get all your calls on your mobile. If you don't have your phone, you can also check your voicemails online. The Google VOice app on your phone will also attempt to dictate the messages to txt so you can read them instead of listening to them (comes in handy when you're in a meeting or some other place where you don't want to put your mobile phone up to your ear). Where it really came in handy for me was, I went to Costa Rica while my kiddos stayed with their grandparents. My phone didn't work in Costa Roca but my hotel had wifi. When my phone was on wifi if the grandparents called the google voice number, it would ring on my phone. I couldn't call out but people could call in. If I didn't answer they just left a message and it didn't cost me a dime!

Pretty big upgrade from your standard voicemail app from Sprint! The nice thing is, if you don't like it you can switch back easily.

The only weird thing I noticed since I installed the Ziggy kernel was HTC Sense Facebook Contacts sync forever. I already sync the contacts through the App so I unchecked but Sense sync...but, if you do a reboot, the Sense FB contact is checked again. I don't know if it's related to the kernel or the ROM itself, but is kind of annoying.

I didn't give the CFS kernel enough time to get a gauge on battery life. I've been on BFS since Saturday. I have a screen off profile at 422/245 Conservative and set everything else to Ondemand at 1228/245. Quadrant kicks back a score between 1200 and 1400, and my battery is at 89%, unplugged for 6 1/2 hours but mostly idle time with a few texts and phone calls. It is very smooth response and scrolling, I love the Z rom!

Well I've had the phone off the charger since 7AM and just had to plug it in before it shut down on me. So, I made it 7hrs before needing a charge up, which is about the same as what I was getting before. The first time I OC'd with SetCPU I accidentally set it to 1.2 and it locked up on me. I had to reboot multiple times just to get back in there and kick it back down. I am now at 1.113GHz and this may have something to do with my ppoor battery life. I also set a similar profile for when my phone is locked, but this doesn't seem to be helping me out much. 'In a few days I'll try one of the BFS Kernels and see what I get there. I'll download quadrant later and see what I get.
