I am seriously considering it. I am very happy with Baked Snack, but at the same time I want some of that Hulu action. From what I've read on XDA this ROM seems to be on par with the Froyo leak, just has some cool extras.

Downloading it now, I'll post my initial review soon keep in mind this is still a 1.0 (think tested beta)

Review:

What works: So far, everything works. I cant test 4g. Everything else runs as it should

What needs to be improved: Lockscreen lag...

Goodies: Well see above.

My only problem is that now i cant flash back to 2.1...

Can you not restore back to 2.1?

I was going to try moving to 2.2 and if I can't simply restore back to eclair that's a big turnoff. at least until its flawless or near flawless.

I've read posts from people on XDA saying they flashed back to 2.1 - I don't see why you couldn't.

I'm assuming you flashed the 2.1 ROM as well as the 2.1 kernel, correct?

I restored my backup, i've never had to deal with the kernels explicitly before, but i'll give it a shot

edit, flashed the kernel after restoring, took a while to boot up, but worked like a champ.

Don't know specifically, but DK05 is a later build and should have less bugs. It also has an available kernel that is supposed to fix the GPS problems of the earlier build.

lol, i thought dk05 was a modem.. aka baseband

and i think the dk17 is the new kernel (with lagfix).. one that's tweaked for froyo

Essentially, they are 3 main things. The rom, the modem (baseband), and the kernel

It's just like how Eclair was updated DG27>DI07>DI18.

The Froyo betas were leaked in the order DJ29>DK05>DK17.

But the person(s) with the DK17 have only given us the kernel for some reason, so we're using the DK05 filesystem with the DK17 kernel.

IIRC, it is not the kernel but rather the modem that fixes the GPS. Some people, probably inaccurately, have reported that the new modem breaks their phones.
