[ROM] Reborn ROM v2.1 5/13/11

I, for the life of me, can't get link2sd working with this rom. I guess I really suck at figuring out this one particular problem lol. Trying to use bb kernel with reborn isn't working for me and I have tried to use the steps put out for adding the necessary scripting? but can't get anything to work. Anybody have a way to give a noob a walk through on how you got this working?

Update: Nevermind. Tried again flashing bb oc kernel after flashing reborn, this time using the newest bb kernel, and it worked.
Maybe I was having some kind of problem between the older kernel version and the older reborn rom...was awhile ago that I tried.

I have been using Data2ext with Reborn and it works fine. Not sure if ur attached to link2sd buy u might want to give data2ext a try.

It's working fine for me now using reborn rom with bb kernel. Thanks for the tip though. I really like that link2sd gives me a visual interface as well as a choice to move or not move apps.

Question: If I use UOT Kitchen with this rom can I change the power widget in the notifications to change those icons?

Oh yeah! You can totally make your own theme just upload the original framework res apk to the kitchen. It's super easy

Thank you. I have done it for the cm7 roms and other stuff but not on a froyo based rom for that type of power widget.

Yeah, it's awesome. Might go back to reborn for this. Love the black widow and the red rum or whatever it is called. I LOVE black/white/red themes.

Transparent theme sounds fun. I have transparency on some of my themes. I was thinking of a glass orb theme or something like that for the future. We will see what they have to say on the POLL. Thanks for the input guys

tried switching to Bumblebee to this ROM. the visuals are nicer, but wow. the internal storage is much less. i couldn't even carry all of my apps from Bumblebee even after moving most of them to the SD card. as much as i love the visuals, i think i'll be switching back because of this.

Said it in one of my earlier posts but I think it was brushed aside... I believe it's a bug, because Nameless rom had LOTS of internal storage, Reborn Rom has a huge amount missing. Don't think dalvik was moved within this rom even though it's stated it is.

Dalvik cache is not moved. Use a file to check it out. I had only had 133 megs on a clean install, I used picsticks dalvik to cache mod and got it up to 173 megs. Also noticed the time without signal fix doesn't seem to be working. Had to install the apk from xda. It works great, TWOS is now 2-4%, which is normal in my area. You can find both these mods on the Rooting, Romming, Hacks sticky.
