Didnt see this being discussed before. My Market app wont update. Any way to force it to?

What app won't update?......Never had that problem nor have I heard of it being a problem with this ROM....Is it only one app?

I think he means the market app itself. As far as I know, it auto updates in the background, so I never have tried to update manually...

Your probably right....However if that's the case how does he know it's not updating or he has the most recent update.....He needs to be more detailed with his problem......

Re: [ROM] Reborn ROM v2.2.2 - 6/28/11

was curious if using overclock widget (or setCPU) would affect the system negatively...anyone got any thoughts? I use overclock widget mainly to underclock down to 122 when idling, and to keep it at 320 max when the screen is off. When the screen is on, I'm running 748, just like the ROM. In my mind, I should be helping the battery life by dialing it down a notch, but am I bypassing some of the battery-life tweaks in the ROM?

Can't help but notice the extreme difference between what Nick7 is getting versus my own experience.

With what you described, you should not be hurting your phone, and you may see some improvement. I personally cannot drop the low down to 122, It causes too much lag for me when waking the screen. Mileage will vary user to user when it comes to battery life. Ex..... For me, if I stay off Tapatalk and GTalk as much as possible I can get pretty close to what Nick experienced as far as life goes. Otherwise when using those two programs throughout the day, I'm down to 35% or lower after 10 to 12 hours off the charger.

So, to answer your question, go for it and see if it helps YOU out. From my personal experience, this ROM is NOT the cause of major battery drain. I can say that because I know exactly which apps are causing my drain.

Re: [ROM] Reborn ROM v2.2.2 - 6/28/11

Just wanted to check and see if anyone else can verify the bug I'm seeing? I use SetCPU still with this ROM, just to tune down the top-end to 729 instead of 748, since my phone can get a LITTLE flaky with extended use at that speed. Perhaps it's a placebo, but that's beside the point, heh. I have SetCPU setup to set 729-245 at boot, along with the governor set to "smartass". However, in the past few days I'd noticed that from time to time I'd look in and the governor was set back to "ondemand" automatically. I've finally traced it down, at least for my phone, to the act of Enabling USB Mode with it plugged into the computer, and then disconnecting. EVERY time I do this, the setting in SetCPU for governor changes back from "smartass" to "ondemand". Not a huge deal as long as I remember to go back in and switch it back, but it would be nice if anyone else can confirm this?

Thanks.

So i got my Optimus back from the friend i loaned it to and loaded the 2.2.2 build and am loving it. Thinking about setting the Nexus down for a little bit and playing with the Optimus again. Nice work Nick!

Do you have any profiles set in setcpu.
I personally stop using it after the last up date came out. It was not running or updating the CPU correctly. I reverted back to a previous version 2.2.1, I now use CPU master for root user's.(paid)

Nope, no profiles at all. Everything with it works fine (settings stay after reboot) except for when you do the USB connect/reconnect thing. If you're using something that will show the current governor in use, can you give it a shot and see if it changes for you after the connect/disconnect (you have to go through the full "Use USB Storage" thing, not just plug the phone in and unplug it).

I am getting the hands free activation screen that will not connect or allow 3g after flashing this update.....any clues to why or what I can do?

You need to update your baseband to VD.
You can try the LG mobile update tool, but you may need to go back to your VC or V9 Rom first.

I forgot to format the dalvik chache and was unable to connect to 3g...wifi worked tho...went threw and wiped evrything again and did a super clean flash and all works fine now...i was coming from scott pilgram cm7 so pretty sure it was the dalvik cache not being wiped causing the problem.

and to all those looking for a good overclocking app check out "system tuner" by 3c...used to be called "process monitor widget" by 3c06 by dev changed his name on the of the recent updates i guess...super cool app that lets yopu play with clock speeds memory settings and and dev also has "battery monitor widget" that is equally bad ass for keeping up on power drain and recharge times...

I just realized something...I've never seen the 'new voicemail' notification icon, with RebornROM?

Does this feature need to be activated? Has anyone else seen this issue?

Reborn v2.2.2 came out 6/28/11. Reborn 2.2 came out like 2 weeks before that.
The family tree for reborn is
.............2.0
..............2.1
..............2.2
..............2.2.1
..............2.2.2

I may be incorrect at the 2.0 starting point, but from 2.1 and down is correct. (Reborn use to be nameless rom)

Try PROFILE UPDATE or If you have your SPC delete the username from ##3282# and change to profile 0 then change the MDN in ##(your SPC)# to 0000001234 or any low number with leading 0's then run Sprint Zone.
