Is REBORN ROM compatible with any of the apps that allow you to use a Wiimote on the LG Optimus S?

I don't think that has anything to do with the ROM, but with the device. Bluetooth is working fine in Reborn 2.2.2 as far as I know, so I would suggest just trying it out. You can always nandroid restore to whatever you had before.

Yes, dirty flash includes a cache and dalvik wipe.

I've had Reborn 2.2.2 on my phone for a while. So I tried a couple of Wiimote apps that I found and none of them worked. I read somewhere that it has to do with enabling Human-Interface Devices over Bluetooth which I guess can be done at the ROM level from what they said. But I wasn't sure. I did confirm that you can't connect Wiimotes to Optimus S stock. Someone alluded to the fact that it might work on CM7 based ROMs, though.

Anyways, loving Reborn so I wouldn't change. Just thought I would ask if anyone else had success runing Wiimotes on Reborn.

does anybody know what does xtr50fix.apk do?

This is a quote from KSmith's response earlier in this thread.

/system/app/TWS-fix.apk

TWS = Time without signal.

There is a bug in 2.2 versions and earlier of Android which report the GSM and CDMA time when reporting the time without signal stat. People see the number as 50% (100% CDMA / 0% GSM = 50% time without signal) and they completely freak out and believe their phone is being sucked of life. This simple APK switches on airplane mode after booting for 12 seconds then turns it of. In doing so it forces Android to report only the CDMA time. If you have it, dont have it, add it later, delete it later .... your battery life will remain the same.

Enjoy the ROM

cool, thank you. I was wondering why my phone goes into airplane mode on its own and just found out it was this app that was forcing airplane mode to ON.

Not sure if your looking to update reborn again, but if you do, I would like to suggest using the power control menu to toggle hotspot. Great job on the rom!

p.s. I don't suppose you'd be interested in the GB source for optimus... would you? jw.

Re: [ROM] Reborn ROM v2.2.2 - 6/28/11

Yea, I did that already, just making a suggestion for future builds. I find it a bit handier than the hotspot widget

Re: [ROM] Reborn ROM v2.2.2 - 6/28/11

All you have to do is edit a widget.txt to make changes in the power control. Add or swap out the different toggles. See this link http://forum.androidcentral.com/lg-...eborn-rom-v2-2-2-6-28-11-a-80.html#post884373

So when I edit the widget.txt which toggle is the widget hotspot toggle? toggleWifiAp or toggleWimax?

Re: [ROM] Reborn ROM v2.2.2 - 6/28/11

I am trying to add. Data switch & airplane switch. The data switch changes but no matter what else I put a flashlight switch shows up(does not work). I can not get rid of it. Any ideas?

sent from my Reborn Optimus

I had that happen at one point, was really driving me insane to cause reboot didn't change it; turns out the widget has some defaults. I know this cause I wound up deleting the widget.txt file entirely and it still showed all the same. Somehow I did fix it; I can't remember in full what I did but I believe after deleting the widget file I than went to recovery and pushed a new one from there (had of course tried that once and it didn't work) I believe I also cleared the cache and dalvik cache when I finally got it to work.
