I had that happen at one point, was really driving me insane to cause reboot didn't change it; turns out the widget has some defaults. I know this cause I wound up deleting the widget.txt file entirely and it still showed all the same. Somehow I did fix it; I can't remember in full what I did but I believe after deleting the widget file I than went to recovery and pushed a new one from there (had of course tried that once and it didn't work) I believe I also cleared the cache and dalvik cache when I finally got it to work.
I tried clearing those caches too!
I have no idea how to push it from recovery.
Any other ideas?

Wipe cache and dalvik then reflash reborn. That should get you back to the original power control.
I don't want the original power control. I am trying to change them.
Remove screen rotation & add data switch, remove flash light & add airplane mode.

Gotcha, thought you were stuck and could not go back. I can play around with it later tonight unless someone else has an answer for you in the mean time.

If you have flashlight in your setup that means there is a problem with your widgets.txt

Ok, had a few minutes to test it. I changed toggleBrightness to toggleAirplane and toggleAutoRotate to toggleMobileData. It worked fine. Make sure you keep the exact format and no spacing.

Here is exactly what I have:

toggleGPS|toggleWifi|toggleBluetooth|toggleAirplane|toggleSound|toggleMobileData

Re: [ROM] Reborn ROM v2.2.2 - 6/28/11

I got it to work. I just hooked it up to screencast and did it on the computer.
I First did a nandroid restore and then went in to file explore and did the changes and worked just fine.
Thanks for your imput!:)

Edit : Found out though, that some of the toggles do not work, Like airplane mode, wifihotspot & lockscreen.
I just put screenBrightness on the end!
So now my pulldown switches are GPS, Wifi, Bluetooth, Sound, Dataswitch, brightness.

Alright, so this might have already been asked/answered, I didn't read 200 pages of posts xD. What is the purpose of the downloads section in the app drawer? It just is sorta separating my pre-installed apps from my downloaded apps right now...... so I'm really just unsure of the purpose? Thanks in advance, Fira

If u have read the App notes very carefuly u would see that it is a App that would allow you to download Filetypes that other android system would not allow you to download

example, most Android Systems wouldn't allow you to download for instance a MP3 file, with this app it would force your android system to allow a MP3 filetype to be download

edit: i miss read some what, it would separate your pre-installed apps from your downloaded apps right now
read post 2 of this thread to get more information

Lockscreen does in fact work that's one of the widgets I had programmed in on mine.

Re: [ROM] Reborn ROM v2.2.2 - 6/28/11

just wanted to report, since one of the big claims of this rom is batt life, that ive been getting 32-36 hours consistantly...using wifi and gps thru out as well. cpu set to smartass, 245-822. stock i only got 16 hrs tops...and that was squeezin every minute out...im super impressed with this rom...cant wait for a g-bread rom that can compete, but until then it doesnt get any better than reborn. thanks dev.

Re: [ROM] Reborn ROM v2.2.2 - 6/28/11

I have a very important question for Nick. If I'm going to sell this phone tomorrow (I'm having difficulty returning this to STOCK/unrooted).

According to KevinSmith's posting here > http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg...ks/71193-can-i-activate-rooted-optimus-s.html

Will this Reborn ROM 2.2.2 Be able to be activated to a new Sprint user that I sell it to?..I guess what i'm asking if it's a Sprint Based rom how Kevin explained it .. such as LEGO Rom, ThundeROM .. etc. Thank you so much ahead of time.

LEGO Rom was based off of VC, the later version of ThundeROM was based off of VD as are Reborn and Shell ROM so they are both Sprint/LG based roms definitely.

Reading Kevins post it shouldn't be a problem to activate Reborn ROM, the fact that PRL updates work makes me think the phone has no problems accepting carrier profiles. The only thing I can think might make a difference is the Carrier Name which is currently set to Reborn ROM instead of Sprint, I know this causes issues with certain apks such as the nascar app but honestly I don't think even that would cause an issue with activation.

I could be wrong of course, but I can't think of any reason why reborn wouldn't work for activation, of course a CM based rom would be an entirely different story.

Re: [ROM] Reborn ROM v2.2.2 - 6/28/11

As long as you he has the meid sticker behind the battery cover he should be fine.

And calm down about the vpn issue. It's in the works. If it's really that big of a problem revert to an earlier version.

I'm upgrading from 2.1 to the latest version (2.2.2). Should I be wiping everything (apps included) or doing a dirty flash?

I would wipe everything for that update. Typically when updating versions a cache and dalvik wipe is all that is needed, but there were some significant changes between 2.1 and 2.2

Great news, thanks!

Im not rushing it, it's just that a non-working solution was posted and I was happy to later find out it didn't work :(
