Nick7, Reborn is awesome but I switched to the new ZVH and gROM. Are you working on making a Reborn for ZVH? You were thanked on Opti-rom page, are you working on that now?

Honestly I don't know anymore. I've been super busy with life and haven't really had a lot of time to work on anything. I do know that there is a super awesome rom in production right now that will knock your socks off so keep an eye out ;)

Anyway I found another little glitch that maybe someone has a fix for. Since the stock browser sucks, I changed the shortcut icon on the dock bar (at bottom of the screen), to open Dolphin browser instead. The problem is that the stock browser icon eventually overrides this and replaces itself. It always happens after a reboot and occasionally at other times. Anyone have a way to keep that from happening?
I already have DolphinHD set as the default browser.
Freezing the stock browser (with titanium) does work, but causes other problems. Without the stock browser, voice search doesn't work. So anyone have ideas?

Ez

You moved the browser to you sd card, so when you reboot the phone it reverts to the stock browser. Just return it to internal memory and replace the browser to the launcher and you are set. I made this mistake at first too! Glad i could return the favor.

i love all you work im a dedicated lurker but i have to break the silence and ask

1.android 4.0 ics
2.optimus s can it handle it?
3.or better yet i would love it if someone made a definition table to specifiy hardware requirments other than "google compatability standards"
i mean we all know the original doom ran on a 386dx-33 66(recommended) with at least 8 yess count em 8 mb of ram but 16 recommended! ....well anyway at least we had a definate grip on what our hardware could and could not run (and what we could just get to squeeze by) does anyone eles feel this way or did i totally miss something here?

I just reverted back to ZVD after having a host of issues with ZVH. Lack of proper headphone implementation, extremely touchy screen, difficulty with WiFi tether made it ridiculous to use. Not that many extra benefits to offset this smooth release.

However, now that I'm back I've noticed a couple of items I've tried to download in the market are telling me they're incompatible with my version of Android. Specifically, I've tried to download Boat Browser Mini and few other apps that I used to run fine, but now the Market is saying I can't run them. Any insight here?

is this rom dead??? if so which rom has taken over (best current rom) ?

For a stock based zvd baseband rom, is is still the best. It is not actively supported by the dev, but all the kinks have been worked out and is very stable. There are many active users that stull use it and can help with issues.

Nick7 & RebornROM Family...

Kind of a stupid question...forgive me:

I'm running Reborn v.2.2.4. It's been ages since I rebooted into recovery to clear the cache. So after seeing some 'weird' behavior...I decided to reboot into Xionia...and wipe both cache and dalvik cache (as I have done many, many times in the past).

Now when I reboot, it gets stuck on the 'LG' logo, before the boot-animation.

Before I proceed to restore my latest nandroid...should I just wait for it to boot correctly? Should I have not done a cache and dalvik-cache wipe?

I have also implemented the 'Data2EXT' SD Partition tweak.

Let me know if you have any ideas.

Thanks,

BJ
