Ok I seem to be having a HUGE problem with this ROM and any help would be greatly appreciated, So I have Nameless v1 for about a week until v2 came out so I decided to go ahead and flash the new version. I followed all of the steps (Including the wipe) and rebooted after I had flash Reborn. Everything started up fine, so after I waited a few minutes I decided to go ahead and flash the noIQagent-patch.zip file. When I did that and rebooted the phone would load up till the REBORN ROM custom startup screen and then the little ball that goes around on the circle would suddenly STOP and I would feel my phone vibrate and it will be stuck at that point so I would have to pull the battery out in order to get the phone to turn off. I would really like to solve this problem because I really enjoyed using v1 of this ROM, thanks for any help.

That's your problem. noiqagent-patch.zip is for nameless v1. Try again (from the beginning), and this time flash noiqagent.zip, which the reborn installation places in the root of your sd card.

Sorry for the double post.... but I'm also having a problem with the data connection on this ROM, it will have the EV data when I turn it on, but then It'll come up with a message that says something about a hands-free activation, then It will say that it could not be completed and the data connection will revert back to 1x which is WAY to slow to do anything, any suggestions?

Sounds like you need to update your baseband to VD. Menu - settings - about phone. What is your baseband?

Usually this means you don't have VD. You need VD for this rom, (VD is the radio baseband).

I think you need to update with the LG tool, not sure if you then have to reroot, I think there's a thread on "update without losing data or root" around here somewhere. Do all that crap to get on VD.

Also, I think there can be an issue trying to update to VD if you already flashed a ROM that expects a VD, because the build.prop says "VD" even though it isn't....and then LG tool won't update. Again, not exactly sure how to get around this, (nandroid back to a VC rom? flash the community ROM?) Hopefully this gets you on your way though...

If you can connect to wi-fi turn it on and go to settings>aboutphone>system updates. The system will immediately recognize that you're software version is not up to date and will prompt you to download the latest VD version.

G'luck :D

DO NOT UPDATE YOUR PHONE OVER THE AIR!!!! You will lose root. You need to update using the LG support tool. Instructions can be found on the forum.

Great Rom Guys,

Question in V3 or a later version do you think you guys could create the ability to customize the apps in the 4 quick launch buttons on the bottom of the screen. I.E. if we want to use handcent vs. the default android SMS app?

Assuming you have handcent downloaded, there's instructions in post #2...I believe you press and hold the application (as if you were to place it on your desktop) and just drag it onto one of the four slots on the bottom.

I'm having problems with a couple of apps. They won't run because of the ad blocker. How do I reset or clear out the host file in order to allow ads again?

Is it possible to put a hot spot toggle in the drop down toggle arrangement in the notification pull down and take out the brightness or rotate toggle? i had it in advanced power control widget and i loved it and it would be even better in the notification drop down had it in there !!! please ! please ! pretty please !

I run setUp at 787 still good battery life and I run quadrant for the benchmarks and its the best for my phone could be different for yours

Check out this thread over on XDA, JsChiSurf is the originator of the notification toggle bar app thing.

Basically, you can add/remove toggles by editing a text file in /system/customize. You can have a max of 6. There are 15 total toggles you can use:
toggleWifiAp
toggleWimax
toggleAirplane
toggleAutoRotate
toggleBluetooth
toggleBrightness
toggleFlashlight
toggleGPS
toggleLockScreen
toggleMobileData
toggleScreenTimeout
toggleSleepMode
toggleSound
toggleSync
toggleWifi

toggleWifiAp might work, but I doubt it, as it's meant to toggle Sprint's builtin Ap I think....and I think you have to do some serious editing of the .jar files to get around that, (but I also think I know very little about what I'm talking about).

So Wifi Tether is iffy at best, but you can add and remove other toggles by editing that text file...

Thanks for pointing these out, I much prefer being able to control data and sync.

Woot +1 for the developers -1 for my failure to read.

Thanks

Kev? Nick? Love your guy's work, but I've been dying to see the un-themed LG Launcher for mdpi. Any chance of seeing that in a separate apk or zip?

Pretty please?

Thanks.

looks pretty clean, i may set this up for my wife, been running CM7 on it but the themes are spotty when it comes to detail. I know the theme chooser only does so much, just looking for a well rounded rom :)
