I've been ditching the stock gallery for Quickpic for a long time now. The stock galley blows.

Black mms is a great idea, black looks 1000X bette IMO.

Anybody having problems with wifi disconnecting or taking forever to connect to the network? This never happened on gingerbread rom.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. My "UPDATE" post was a fresh start - wiped data, cache, and dalvic before re-flash. Still have the exact same freezing and rebooting issue. Have had a couple of freezes and at least one reboot today.

Ok, this is frustrating. No luck with the random rebooting issue. I did a clean wipe, fresh install of Reborn 2.1, and I have clocked back down to 600mhz.

I am using Widgets.zip, s-jacobs-bright-power-bat-mod-noIQ.zip, and ButtonsWake.zip. Maybe one of these is causing the problem? My phone just rebooted in front of me; screen was off, then suddenly I saw the first boot screen.

Also, in reply to Nick, I am in favor of switching out the gallery. Long as it has the same functionality; sometimes apps will use the gallery as a 'filepicker' where you select the image you want, and the gallery 'returns' the image/image path back to the original app. Excited for the next release, thanks!

About a week ago I took the plunge and upgraded from stock to Reborn ROM. So far it seems more stable than the stock ROM and I love the extra internal phone storage!

Does anybody like the stock gallery? I think it's slow and crappy. I wanted to replace it with "quickpic" on the market. Ideas?

Also, what do you guys want to see in the next release?

New gallery sounds great! The stock one is so slow.

Whenever I unlock the phone using NoLock or the PowerControl Widget, the buttons wake the phone again. Does anyone know of a fix for this issue? If not, I'd love to see a fix for that.

Next release won't be for another two weeks though. Completely swamped with stuff right now.

All those suggestions sound perfect. Can two weeks be up now?? O

I know a guy who's had 2 phones replaced because his stock image was doing this... it's possible your phone's bad... I'd be tempted to revert it to dead stock (rom wise) and see if it still does it...

I finally got on a ROM. Thanks to all who made this, it's awesome. I want to apologize for my doucheness a few months ago. I was quite upset at the time, but all is well now.

A few questions though, since this is my first ROM ever.

1; SetCPU; It seems if I have the max as high as it will go, my phone resets a lot. Any tips? What is SetCPU really anyway? How can I get the best experience?

2; Roaming? Does this mean that I'm always in roaming? My network seems to be a lot faster now, pretty sweet though -- especially when tethering to my 360.

3; Titanium Backup; I made and update.zip, but I'm afraid to flash it over the ROM. Is it OK to do?

4; Music Mod; is awesome; however, anyway to change my album art? All of my songs feature a picture of Josh Freeman.

5; Netflix; I have Netflix that I found on XDA, always has a green bar at the top. Is there a way to fix it? If not, no biggie, still love having it on my phone.

6; Options; Now what? What awesome things can my phone do now? I'm ready to put it to the test!

Going to answer some of your questions as best I can:

1: RebornROM is already overclocked to 748MHz the max for the processor is 864MHz but that may cause freezes, personally I just stick with the reborn overclocking but I probably wouldn't take it over 800MHz if I were going to go higher.

3: The titanium backup update unless you have the paid version I believe is unsigned so to flash it you will have to toggle signature verification but beyond that it shouldn't effect anything on the rom itself so go ahead.

6: Next I'd probably look at Themes and or Dialers

Possible Suggestions:
Feedback for power widget, such as vibrate-mute etc in pop up form.

I know I have some otheres but cannot think of them atm.

Been using quickpic forever! It is the best gallery app out there (imo) so a huge YES to that.

Though I havn't used quickpic myself I'm a little indifferent to the gallery app, I say if you and others think it's better do it.

Black MMS would rock

I'm intrigued by the idea about resizing the mtd partitions but curious to what end specifically? Forgive me if that seems like a silly question.

Edit: Just tested quickpic definitely better than the standard gallery, you got my vote to switch em

To increase space for the data partition. For those who switched from our htc hero's, there is a mod which resized the partitions and allowed 300+ mb for installing apps. I don't think we'll see that much, due to partition structure, but theoretically it's possible.

netflx works fine with the CM7 g/b roms (no green bar)

I've been running a black mms with different custom ROM's for quiet awhile and it sure would be nice not to have to manually reinstall it each time I flash an update.

I also agree it would be nice to have a better gallery program. The stock program is just to limited.

There are times when I think I'd also like to get rid of the stock web browser. But then again I'm not which browser I'd want as a replacement. Let the debate begin. lol

the ONLY things I dont like " out of the box " is the keyboard.... Yes i know u can DL another one. Also the lack of File manager that was in the previous versions was nice
