I dont usually post much but i had to say great work on this rom man, i just got my first android device lg optimus, and it took me about a day to learn the full process of rooting installing custom recovery and flashing roms and kernels, im using picasticks kernel with your rom and i coudlnt have asked for a better experience using a phone im soooo never going with stock rom/kernels again broke the phone twice in the learning process but now i should be good i got a nandroid backup and every driver and download i used along the way stored in one folder. keep up the good work ill be sticking with your work for sure

Thank you kind sir. Worked like a charm. And unlike stock, even with a fully loaded phone running Reborn, there's plenty of memory left, so no big deal to move it back to internal.

Hello Optimus S guys & girls

I tried a search of this thread for "infrastructure' before i posted this.

My GF has this phone & i want to help her pic a good ROM out & flash it.


1) Does this rom have infrastructure mode wifi tether?

2) if answer to 1 = NO what ROM would you recommend i flash. It has to have, infrastructure mode wifi tether, & be stable. (That way i don't have to baby sit her phone )

1 issue with rom, nothing major but, sometimes phone freezes on shutdown, i have to take the battery out and reboot it. happened twice in 2 days. not sure if its because the phone was too busy in the background at the time of shutdown or what. like i said though once i take the battery out it boots up just fine. kinda annoying tho with an otterbox case.

Did you clear data and cache before flashing the ROM? Sometimes things go wonky if you don't clear your data.

i didnt clear it immediately before flashing, i cleared it and booted up, played on the phone for awhile then flashed reborn, does that count? i really think its just having problems shutting down background apps, it only happened twice and its always at the end of the day after ive done alot on the phone when i reboot in the morning or before ive used the phone for most of the day it works fine.

Excellent Work on this ROM guys. have been running it for a few weeks on 2 phones on will never go stock again.

Not sure if this is a fixable issue since it happened with stock as well, but here goes.

==>Initiate phone call via blue tooth and car. (2005 Acura TL)
==>Any incoming call drops blue tooth connection with phone and car.

Yeah sometimess it is best to clear data immediately before flashing. If it isn't too much of a hassle I would suggest you try that.

truthfully i think its a hardware issue myself, it doesnt happen enough for me to wipe and flash again, i really think it just happens when too much is running in the bqackground and i try to shut down. just thought id share in case you wanted to look into it and i wasnt right.

Search function should give you some hits, but yes you can use AP mode. The ROM actually has a hotspot widget that you can use to easily toggle it on and off. Post 2 has a YouTube video with a bunch of information on the ROM.

I am assuming you mean the icons in the launcher. Move those apps back to internal. They revert on reboot when stored on the sd card.

Nick7, Reborn is awesome but I switched to the new ZVH and gROM. Are you working on making a Reborn for ZVH? You were thanked on Opti-rom page, are you working on that now?
