Just as a data point on the battery topic.

I really didn't see that much difference in battery life from nameless to Reborn.v1. (and while I saw some difference when I went from stock to nameless...it wasn't anything I was wow-ed by) But I see a HUGE increase in battery life when I flashed Reborn.v2. Yesterday I took the phone off the charger at 7 am. I used it moderately all day (few calls, some texts, couple hours of internet browsing and games). I forgot to put it back on the charger when I went to bed. When I woke up this morning nearly 24 hours after it had been on the charger, I was still at 30%.

I have never messed with my facebook, or weatherbug etc sync times...I assume they are hourly? And my phone is connected to WIFI most of the time either at work or home. But in the past I have NEVER been able to get a full 24 hours out of my battery without it being in the red or completely dead.

I will note, however, that v2 seems slightly slower in transitions than v1. Although maybe that has to do with not having the spare parts option to increase them (at least I don't see this anymore..but I am just now learning about custom roms...).

LOL, could use the no lock function in the power control toggles.

Earlier in this thread.

The no lock function from there might work to do what you are talking about.

I finally figured out how to change that(you have to be in recovery and mount the system folder and push the modified file from your computer), and it has the same issue, all button wake the phone when the LockScreen setting is switched off. Am I special or does everyone has the same issue with that feature and the No Lock app?

The transitions should be set to fast by default, if you would like I could send you an adless version of spare parts to play with. You can also turn them off in the display section of settings.

As for battery life, people are giving vastly different results... I am testing Reborn v2 against v2.1 now.

So I have 2 phones which are under my control, in light of everyones battery issues I decided to do a bit of a test using them both.

For 1 phone, we'll call it Phone A; I wiped data, cache, dalvik cache, and just to be certain though I believe data does this I cleared the battery stats. This was all with a 100% battery, proceeded to flash RebornV2.1 and reconfigure my phone.

At the same time I took Phone B; cleared cache, dalvik cache and battery stats before flashing RebornV2.1 as a dirty flash over itself. This was also with a 100% battery.

I spent most of the next day running the phones down to re-calibrate the batteries than charged them up again.

Both these phones have been on my wireless the entire time, they have similar configurations but not the same.

To sum up Phone A: was left idle for 7 hours (sadly I didn't write down the battery life for this). I proceeded to use the phone for the rest of the day; Limited calls, heavy texting, heavy browsing, some light gaming and a bunch of time spent trying to redo my theme cause I was stupid and forgot to back it up. Plugged the phone into the charger a little over 16 hours after removing from the charger

I know that doesn't sound that great but we are talking about near constant use for about 9 hours. (basically fiddle with something for about 10 minutes set the phone down, do something for a minute or two and return).

So 16 hours on relatively heavy usage, not great but could be a lot worse.

Phone B: Sat idle for about 5 hours after being recharged after re-calibration before the primary user took for the day.
Heavy browsing, light texting, several calls through out the day, plugged back in about 20 hours after removing from the charger.

So seems I've getting between 16 and 20 hours on similar configurations with at least slightly similar usage. All in all I'm relatively satisfied, my old phone would have started yelling crickets at me sometime around 12 hours of heavy usage.

Hope this information is at least slightly useful :D

EDIT: I should note that prior to running this test I was able to run phone a on reborn v2 for a little over or around 20 hours of moderate usage, the above test is definitely more usage and on the newer version of reborn.

Audio Glitch

I've been having a mild problem with the audio out of the 3.5" plug that has been driving me nuts. Sometimes for no reason the audio will change, the only way to describe it is it goes from being normal to being in a large room. It has happened on Listen, Pandora, Doubletwist and any other music app. As far as I can remember it only started once I moved to NamelessRom. I am currently on Reborn 2.0. Has anybody else experienced this? Any ideas? Thanks!

I was reading that before flashing that the phone should be at 100% charge. Does it make a difference whether it is fully charged with the phone turned on or off?

Also, I never charge my phone while it is turned off, but I decided to try it and it seemed as though something wasn't working correctly. I could see the large battery icon indicating that it was charging, then it would suddenly turn off. If I tapped a button to bring it back up, I would see the LG icon and it appeared to be doing a mini boot to the charge screen again.

Is this what the Optimus does when charging while powered off?

Thanks!

Unplugged at 7am with moderate use and several phone calls I'm at 30% at 9pm.

It will not work on that ROM, I had the same problem. I had to use CM7. BASH is not in the system as it is with CM7 and I couldn't figure out how to insatll it.
