So, I'm unsure if anyone would be interested in my modified theme... (or if this is even the right place to share it)...

Basically, I've been running this for my own use for a while, and thought I'd share. Basically it uses some of the icon's from darkhorse theme, and some from the theme kitchen (asked for permission over on XDA some time ago... for the darkhorse theme) and the modified power background posted earlier in this thread... I like the change in icon's... I can provide the bee background too if you're interested...

(and if I'm wrong about things I'm certain someone will let me know.)

Am i missing something for some reason i cant flash this theme ive try multiple times it says it installs i restart phone looks the same as it did before. Any ideas?

Can this ROM work for LG Optimus V? It's the Virgin Mobile USA (Sprint Network) version of the Optimus S.

Welcome to the forum!
I've heard of some using it for that purpose. I don't have a V so can't confirm, but if you make a nandroid backup and try it you should be fine. There will be little things like "Sprint" being displayed instead of Virgin Mobile, etc...

EDIT: 200th post woot! :)

Can it be done with Titanium Backup root? Or does it have to be the paid version?

Free version.
+1

Touch Backup/Restore, settings button, select batch. It will compile the list then you just put a check next to everything you want to backup. The advantage to the paid version is that you can have multiple backups of the same app. ex one from 02/11/11, one from 03/28/11, and so on... With the free version it overwrites any existing backup information for the particular thing you are backing up. Great app!

Thanks this helped! I also tried searching on the forum but couldn't find an answer to this. Is there a way to make the 4 buttons on the front turn the screen on? Or is it only possible to do with the power button.

The attached "old" stock-button.zip in the [DEAD]ThunderROM thread should still work, I believe. Just flash away, after making a nand of course.

This should work. Put on root of sd and flash from recovery.

Is CM7's Apps2SD future different than Titanium Backup's? With CM7 I could move a 10 mb application to SD and reduce the size to 1-2 mbs however with Titanium Backup's the same program is 6.5mbs.

Hi All, I can't really get into the rom yet and tell you how I like it. I have searched for my issues and read from page 85 to 100 but can't find anything on how to fix the home and search buttons to respond. I have used the stock layout zip but all it does is wake the phone when home is pressed. Anyone help?

That's a little odd, all the buttons should respond on the keypad.

There was an issue someone had with a screen lock app causing some buttons to improperly wake the phone but I haven't heard of anything like you are describing.

First I have to ask if you did a full wipe before flashing, also I would be curious what software version/baseband you were previously on (though I doubt the baseband would cause this it's worth considering).

Assuming the answers are yes and anything VD based. I would probably recommend a dirty flash of the rom itself, if that doesn't work try going back to another rom such as shell and see if the buttons work there just to make sure it's not a horribly timed hardware failure. (I've heard stranger things working in tech support, I just blame gremlins.)

Ya I am all VD have been VD since I bought the phone. Comming off thunderom, wiped everything, formatted everything. Installed. reborn v2.1 from op. the home and search did not work so i installed adw ex and they still don't respond. I am not a noob but it's got me stumped. I do remember however when I first started messing with my HTC Hero milleniums ago, I had the same issue. Then it kind of just dissappeared. No one had an answer for me then either.

I will reflash the rom and see..

EDIT: Well you were right. Dirty flash worked now I can get all things going. Thanks

Sorry for so many questions but I recently plugged my phone into my computer for the first time in a few months because I've been flashing all roms directly from phone, and I found out that when the phone is plugged in I get no notification telling me that it is in development mode even though I have development mode turned on. It allows me to go into USB mode and transfer files and stuff but no development mode. I have tried going into command prompt and seeing if the device is listed; however, after calling 'adb-devices' the only device listed is A00000284F41C6, and I know this is the phone because when the phone is unplugged and the command is called I get no devices listed. This seems strange because when I rooted before the device was clearly listed as LS670. It should be noted however that I reformatted my computer after the last root, but I am sure I have set the Android SDK path correctly. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and sorry for the essay.
